  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Totally! In a couple decades when whatever the History Channel is at the time goes looking to document this era, it would be gold to have high resolution footage of truck mounted nuclear missiles, tanks and goose stepping solders marching down Pennsylvania Ave. Wish I could be there to see it in person. Such a glorious demonstration of our great nation's true strength. So awesome!

SmallRig is great! The build quality is unbeatable for its price. I have their Raven Base Plate with 15mm carbon fiber rods and I'm very happy with it! I hope you already get your camera by now, I can feel the excitement.. :D

BECAUSE USPS SUCKS!!!!!

OMG my raven has been in transit for 3 days when I paid for 2 day air. WITH NO STATUS UPDATE!!!! I have a hard time believing the package has been on a plane for a whole day and a half. WTF!?!?!?!

The problem is FedEx has a hard time sending to Military bases. So I had to send it via USPS... but you would figure after spending over 100$ that they could get it there in 2 days?!

I was having such a problem getting it sent here because of the 96 Watt Hr. battery's in the case. I have about a week before I ship out oversea's It should be here no later than tomorrow, and be able to pick it up on Monday.

here's the thing...

RED puts a DG (Dangerous Good's) sticker on their package because the battery's it comes with the kit are 96 Watt hr. (RED is covering their ass because it's so close to 100 Watt Hrs) but the limit for sending battery's in the mail for USPS is less than 100 Watt Hrs. So I don't even have to declare them in the package. If those USPS pricks delay my package for a battery I didn't even have to claim, AND that I paid over $100 to get it here in 2 days I'm going to be rip S*IT!!!

but I have a little time before I ship out. I have till the middle of next week, and till the 14th to receive my last bit of mail before I have to have everything shipped via FPO.

Why don't they send it separately. Do as not to hold up the main kit. People out there might have their own bettety or other.

You sure it's not held up on base due to the dsngerouse sticker? Can the battery he sent to you separately afterwards, if they can clear the rest?

If the battery were tested and it reached 100wh, even though it was 96wh, than legally it could even be deemed a 100wh battery, even though it's labeled differently.

Check if your base or transfer oversease, has a lesser limit on batteries. All the T sec stuff might limit things.

Well my TV has just gone dimmer. I was hoping it would hold out until a more descent TV model came out.

Actualy RED shipping went pretty good considering it went by ground. The USPS is CRAP. I'm going to call Monday and ask for a refund on the $100+ I spent on 2 day delivery. It was to be delivered by yesterday and now I wont get it till Monday. IF it arrives here in Fort Hood.
