  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Help a brother out...

I am going to have fantastic footage! just as soon as my camera arrives! sorry just having trouble being patient. but still excited and think it is awesome you guys are looking to use our footage.

Jim, wish my stuff was good enough to include on the reel. However, I think I still have a long way to go to master this camera. Others have shot some nice stuff with my camera, but probably can't get rights to it right now.

Hopefully by next IBC I'll have something worthwhile to contribute.

We need some good footage for IBC. Anybody have anything great?

Great is pretty subjective. I start thinking of Memiors of a Geisha and Seven Years in Tibet... or perhaps "big action scenes" or scenes technically very difficult to shoot.

But I wonder if an additional way to sell the camera is to show how great it is in run and gun situations with little crew. There are 30,000 filmmakers that understand that but only a few hundred people that relate to bigass Hollywood stuff.

(and yeah, Ander's video is really nice stuff)

Ted is in charge of gathering footage... Jarred and I are passing him as much his way as we can. Thanks for everyone's help on this. We will be updating the RED Reel often, so if we don't use it now, we might ask again.

I have a BA in Photography and I am going to go out and shoot "great California scenics" for my friend's Native American flute music video.. but alas, I do not yet own a Red. Anyone want to lend one to me for a week? Else I do plan to venture with a still camera for time-lapse and my Canon GL2 (ok.. go ahead and laugh everyone)

Are you interested in some dirt bike or snowboarding footage? We have some amazing shots from our Reds.

Nothing wrong with the GL2, I have one as well. I bought it for a shoot when I needed something good, but inexpensive. It served its purpose well.

I'm pretty proud of my little Kung Fu Short HERE, but it was heavily (de)graded and I don't know if you'd want to use it straight-up.

I'll get you anything you want from it if you're interested, but much prettier things have been shot on RED.
