Granted their needs, I wouldn't say so. As piece of art, it shines though. Out of question. Congrats!

I worked as DAM for this DP shooting on Catalina Island. This TV series, "Twenty Six Miles" is well into Post-Production at Plaster City, Micheal Cioni Showed off some of the footage at Cinegear Expo. These are some stills tailored for presentation:

I have some test footage of my boss running up the street, at 75fps I think... It's great, you can really see his Moobs bouncing...

Otherwise nothing fantastic. I think some of the night exteriors we shot for our 48Hours entry was nice, but probably wouldn't stand up to much of the other good stuff around these parts.

My footage is at Plastercity already. This has never been filmed before. Hope you will like it.

i uploaded a music video but never got any answer on if you guys wanted to use it. i would be happy to send a drive with the R3D's and a final conform. just need to know where.
its the Heloise and the Savoir Faire video posted on the site TED setup.

Thanks everyone - this post I put up a couple day ago mentions the various options we have for showing off footage you submit.

http://www.reduser.net/forum/showpost.php?p=275404&postcount=79

Anything we include in the Reel we need the R3D's for so we can do the 4k finish from the native files, but if you have projects that you only have the finished work in 1080p or 2k, and want to send that to us to use for various presentations, viewings etc. I'm always on the hunt for great stuff to show off to the world.

You can send HD tapes or QT movies on drive or DVDs here to my attention, (and the R3D's go here as well for anything that will be in consideration for the reel)

Someone from PlasterCity would have been in touch if we were looking at using the fooage you submitted in the reel (and if your wiredrive submissions had your email contact info on the wiredrive link... some of you we had to hunt down as we didn't have any contact info referenced :-)

Hope to see a lot of you at IBC!

We are still collecting footage and haven't made any decisions yet. We'll ask let everyone know what's up when we have a compilation together. Thanks again to everyone who has submitted footage.

Jim

To further this - we'd absolutely like to look at the QT's and the Raw files of the Mercedes spot, the super-stylized Danish music Video, any of Francis's great shots, Those amazing Olympic Promo shots, and any other fantastic things that you have shot. We do have the shots from 26miles in house, they look really good. Many of you have already sent material in, and we greatly appreciate it. (That Mercedes spot and some of the other pieces from 4kLondon would be great to show as stand alone pieces.)

Choosing and putting together a reel of content is both a technical and subjective challenge - to show the capabilities of the RED and the talent of the people shooting the RED is the goal. The subjective part comes in as we start to put pieces together and see how they play side by side as a reel. Many things that play well and work perfectly on the small screen do not fit for a large screen presentation. So if we don't end up choosing your material, it is nothing personal - we are culling through lots of footage to get to the final goal. Pacing, type of footage to show a wide range of good shots, and all types of creative and subjective logic plays very heavily into the process, just like any other visual project.

Thanks Again!

+ Ted

Ted, we will shoot this weekend some spectacular panoramas of Pico de Orizaba (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pico_de_Orizaba). At 18,490 feet it this third highest in North America. We will be shooting at 15,220 ft from the Sierra Negra next to it - the site of the large MM Telescope... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Millimeter_Telescope)...

I could send the footage on Monday morning - is it too late?

Cheers

Peter

EDIT: This is going to be a stereo (3D) shoot - is that of any particular interest?

Can't wait for this one!:) Tone of great stuff was shot this year!

Ted if you do end up wanting to use the Garbo Trailer, please let me know if the 1k file is good in off, other wise I'll have Manny provide with a 2k finish and or also the original R3D's.

Look forward to the final output, with my footage in it or not!

Q? Would I be able to use this same reel to show at KETCHFRAME STUDIOS in Vegas to Potential Clients?

Ciao

Ketch made a great point - are You guys going to share that demo with us? :)

Thank you for your support on this one Peter! Lets hope they DO!

For me this would be particularly useful as I'm offering the services of various RED camera Owner/Operators and been able to show such a "FOR SURE INCREDIBLE" reel will, be just so Great!

And even so will start Production of my first Film shortly, I still like to keep as many of my fellow REDUSERs busy:)

ciao
