I'm doing a multi camera shoot and need to use Heliums and Dragons on the same set, A and B cameras......Different angles of the same action. What can I expect in regards to getting the cameras to match. When I do the same thing with either Helium or Dragon the cameras match beautifully. Anyone done this on a regular bases? Thanks, as always for any help!

I always shoot color charts when mixing any cameras, but yes you can "make them match". Their color response is slightly different, but tonally speaking you'll be in the wheelhouse.

Thanks, Phil....The charts helped the editors match both cameras, no issues at all!

Jason, beautiful Lincoln pieces!

Is that helium or is that lens CA? Specifically, referring to magenta/cyan fringing on high contrast points like headlights, window panes, ridge lines.

Im editing something we shot on sunday and what I see side by side is not a color difference so much but a different "feel" they certainly can match and are way closer than any 2 lenses off the shelf

The bursting pink outlined highlights kind of tells those shots are helium.

yes at 17 seconds you can see them, however I am wondering if this was shot before the new pipeline and had some terrible highlight action the day after the camera launched but never an issue now

Jason. This project is amazing. What did you color it in? Did you use phils luts?
Very stellar work!

I was brought in to shoot the B-cam on a production that was shot on Epic MX. They mixed my Weapon 6K with MX material and no one saw a difference in the end result. Many shots where shot - reverse shot setups.
Remember that people's brains adjust and change the nature of the perceived colors and reality around them so the scientific measurement of "matching" has little to do with what works and what's not. Most high end cameras today can match perfectly in terms of a perceivable match.

Yes might be pre ipp2. But those fringing highlights can spike trough ipp2 as well if not carefull.
