So I've got a CF Weapon, 2 Latitude boxes and a iPad running Foolcontrol and I can't get them all to talk. Hoping someone can help figure out where I'm going wrong. I started by referencing THIS, but I still couldn't get it working. Foolcontrol works great when lined directly to the camera's wifi and I have Latitude working to control lens motors. But now I'm trying to use Latitude to extend the range of Foolcontrol and am not having any success. Here's what I've done so far...

- Connect the RED control cable from a Latitude box to the camera. And send power to the Latitude box. Then connect the camera to the Latitude box on the camera via wifi.
- Power the second Latitude box and connect the iPad to that second Latitude via wifi.
- Launch Foolcontrol. It searches for a network but never finds one to connect to.

Where am I going wrong? Each Latitude makes its own wifi network, so it makes sense that I'd have (camera + camera-mounted Latitude) on one network and (iPad + iPad mounted Latitude) on another network. Then the two Latitudes talk via RF right?

Thanks!

Andy

Hello Andy

your setup is right ... except on camera side, connecting the CTRL port and power is enough and enabling the wifi on this end is not needed at all and can be disabled in camera.

The reason why LONG RANGE does not work is because Kris and RTMotion team are still finishing / testing this feature in the firmware.
It should be released very soon now but as far as I know it was still in the final dev stage during IBC.

Best

Mikael
