  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Haven't heard from Red yet, is there really that many orders?

So I ordered a Scarlet with TI Canon Mount, because I understood that TI mount would ship earlier. But I guess only PL mount are shipping earlier.

Now I'd rather order the Scarlet with Aluminum Canon Mount, and use the $1500 for RED ARMOR.
From reading the thread that means I would be placed to the back of the line for the Scarlet part of my order. Is this correct?

I will contact my rep via email about this. But if it saves some time, and I can get the answer here it'd be great.
Thank you for the amazing job you are all doing, and for the time spent on the forum.
Jean.

thank you Brent for your openness and communication - makes one feel much more safe in the hands of RED.

It would also be nice if a person from RED Europe could be on here - that would calm my last nerve too ;) but they might be even more overwhelmed I guess - Alan has been responding to my emails at least with a "please wait till we contact you" which makes it not that much better but at least there is a contact. Guess I just have a too high order number to be in either the early PL round or the second big batch - which is a shame. Would love to get my money out this year cause of taxes :/

We are here Falk - don't worry.
You will hear from us again soon as we start to process orders...

Alan.

Ha :) even on a sunday - you guys never sleep :D thank you - I will now stop whining and try to wait patiently - need some things switched out though but I guess that can all be handled later.

Brent sorry, I feel for you with all these questions...

Im in Australia with an order placed fairly early on the 3rd. I'll be heading to the UK on the 21st Dec, and not returning until 23rd Jan. Is there a way or is it even possible to change the shipping to a UK address, Pinewood or perhaps ship from Pinewood? (I will be staying 5mins down the road). Or am I likely to receive it in AUS before the 23rd Dec?

Thanks for all your efforts, MUCH appreciated.
H

it seems that they trying to ship before christmas.... that what it has been said here

Just hope you will be able to get your stuff and hope also that they will be ready to ship
don't know also why it's taking so much time...
I have a film to shoot starting in December 16th as a Director and I would have love to use this camera however
I'm force to take something else anyway ...

Patience is a vertue

don't do that, it'll change your position in line, and there is a reason why Ti mount is more expensive

Has anyone figured out the significance of the SKU number for Scarlet orders?

My SO# is 1111, and my Scarlet AL Canon SKU# is 710-0026. Wonder if that means I'm the 26th person to have ordered...

George,

The SKU# is the item number of the product you are purchasing, the SO# is the order number of that purchase on your account. They are not tied into each other.

I have 2 separate shipments from RED that have been held up at FedEx for 4-5 days for clearance "broker information required"

Anyone else have this issue?

Where are you? and why not send the Broker info to Fed-Ex to get your shipment moving? If you don't have a broker, then fill out the Fed-Ex P.O.A. form and have them take care of everything.

G.

Mitch (and anyone else in the same boat), if I understand your situation correctly, you'll have to contact FedEx (who are in effect acting as 'brokers' for your import) and arrange to pay taxes and import duties due, they won't contact you.

Hi Brent (or other awesome bomb rep), I will soon order a Scarlet-X Al Canon Mount package plus Red Armor but I would need the items on my invoice to be itemized with separate prices.

Reason is that in Canada I can pass off the brain in one category of deductibles, SSD media and batts in another and Red Armor in a third.

Is this possible? (Please say yes)

If so, how do I make sure the invoice is itemized? By contacting my rep after ordering?

Cheers,

Luc

Luc - not sure if this helps but I ordered the same package and each item is listed individually in my account (hasn't shipped yet, obviously).
The packages are just an easy way to order, without having to order each item individually, but the prices are still listed separately in the shopping cart.

Thanks Luis! Great news. I just want to be sure come shipping time that the invoice is also itemized with individual prices.

Could a bomb rep confirm this?

Luc-

Yes the Invoices are itemized line by line with the pricing, with Canada we have to provide multiple copies of the commercial invoice. We can also send you a copy to help with clearance.

Best Regards,
