  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Haven't heard from Red yet, is there really that many orders?

Brent - thanks for all this, a very helpful thread.

For shipping - my rep says change is afoot to disallow shipping via my FedEx account. Being in Canada this creates big problems with brokerage and paying import taxes.

I'm happy to pay S&H to Red, but I need to be able to do the shipment itself via my FedEx account or I'm going to go insane dealing with border issues. Any way to keep us polite, friendly Canucks happy?

Thats good news! I can live with a delay of "some days" ... As long i don'd get pushed back several weeks or months ;-) thanx a bunch! All good again ;-) RED rocks!

And Brent ... Seeing your last post was about around midnight ... I hope you got some really good bourbon onna shelf, you really really deserve it .... +1 on a salary raise for Brent ;-)
 
Partial shipments

Partial shipments

Im kind of expecting the possibility of a partial shipment , similar to epic , where the side handle was not included with the camera.
Is that the plan for scarlet kits as well?
If so, do we pay for the full kit or just what was shipped out first?

Ok then Brent this is where the problem is for me.
I tried to add the Red Armor extended warranty to my order over phone, but I was told I couldn't do that, and had to wait until they process my order and contact me, but if they wont contact me and just charge for my items bought than I will be out of the opportunity to get 2 years extended warranty, so how to solve this?

We will ship what is available when available - be it ordered a la carte or part of a SCARLET-X package.

Sorry for any miscommunication, you can certainly order via phone. All you have to do is go to any SCARLET product detail page on RED.com and select RED Armor...(attached).

PS, even though Gavin beat us to it, FAQs updated on RED.com. Check SCARLET and Purchasing sections.... Updates will be fairly routine...
 
Oh no problem. Just clamoring for an estimated date for it, just like everyone else.

Can't wait to start seeing the unboxing videos.
 
Does anyone know when the RED store will be getting a Scarlet demo unit?

Aye, and since the barrel-makers union managed to get a law passed long ago saying that bourbon could only be matured in fresh NEW barrels... well trust the canny Scots to find a use for those once-used barrels, and mature *real* malt whisky in them :rofl:
