UPDATE: RED has solved this with a new installer for El Capitain!

Some of you may have migrated to el capitain.

Some of you might need REDundead now and again.

REDunDEAD does not work with El Capitain.

So.

Hands up for those who want and need this tool in OSX El Capitain.

Cheers.

Right now the one or two times I've needed REDundead I just used a machine on 10.10 or 10.9. But it'd be nice to see it work on 10.11

Really looking forward to an update of REDundead.
Would it also be possible to have a version with its proper interface and not to go through the terminal anymore?

I'm glad I don't need it at the moment, but in that instance I do, it will most definitely be urgent. ;)

So YES, please!

My main post system that I load and store r3d is El Cap. I do have access to previous version but not always. In 4 years I've only used RED undead once, since I am fanatical on my mag process, with only 2 mag issues in that time. But when it has happened I have been rushed with some hectic schedule (not following a normal process) and that's often the worse time to loose things, where I don't have all my equipment. My main DIT station is now windows btw, it would be nice if redundead was just integrated into redcinex in some advanced tools menu.

Hands up for a red undead that works like a traditional software. Open up, mount faulty or formatted card, choose folder and press "revive corpses".

I love Patrick's idea of integrating Undead into RCX. It's important Red keeps this little App current. It hugely helps the whole Red experience that if an error is made that it can be easily resolved. If it becomes a complicated and difficult procedure it reflects on the whole Red camera experience.
I have no idea how difficult it is to keep the software current but well worth it.

I was so lucky to have an old macbook with old OS, it saved me a couple months ago, can't believe they don't keep this current. Please update this program.

I too have only needed this tool a couple of times. But it is very true, like a spare tire in your trunk, when you meed it you really need it. It might not be as cut and dried with el capitain to make this command line tool function again, but i hope it can be dobe rather easily.
