  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I've done the same thing blurred out security information off my drivers license. Very dangerous to send on unsecured email identity theft a very real risk!

This GB ended earlier this month. For those that have committed, they have until the 26th to pay.
 
I completed the wire transfer. I would love it if at some point there was a confirmation that the wire transfer was received. Yes, my bank confirms but perhaps Tilta could follow up. Also I played with a test unit at Tilta last week and saw zero backlash using the hand controller. Didn't play with the handgrip controllers though.

That's great to hear, Peter. Could you comment on it's torque and speed? Any chance you know how responsive and powerful the motor is compared to a RTMotion 3.1 system?
 
Has anyone ever used a motor of this kind with Canon EF zooms such as the 24-70 or 70-200 using .8 pitch adaptor rings? I'm curious if you can get a reliable zoom in or out with the Tilta-M.
 
I've emailed Tilta, but still haven't received a reply with the PO/invoice yet. What should I do?

They need your shipping address to calculate shipping costs and then they will generate your invoice.
 
So I've asked for a unique reference number (payment ref they gave me at first was REDUSER GB or something similar).
I've also asked them to provide a HKD quote so I can use transferwise to pay them direct for a better exchange rate and no bank fees.

If you're interested, including a 15/19 rail clamp and remote start / stop cable it came out at 10,833.99 HKD including shipping. Not really much of a discount (if any at all once you factor import duties and taxes
 
I have emailed them my order with all the necessary details but I'm not getting any response. And the cutoff date for payments is closing in rapidly. I doubt there will be enough time to make the transfer without loosing my spot in the queue. This process has unfortunately not been that efficient from Tilta's side.

Surely we won't lose our place based on a lack of response on their end..
 
Hey Chris,

Respectfully, this may be my last request before I pull myself out from this group buy.
Can we please test this unit before forcing people to pay for this untested product (Please understand I do have the reason to ask this test).
