  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Your chance to test the unit was at Cinegear. I did. Loved it.

Kwan, I still haven't received a demo unit. As soon as I do, I'll put a short video together. Yang said end of the month, which I know is past the payment cutoff date. No one is being forced into this GB, it's your choice. So you have the choice to stay in without a review, or back out.

So obviously also whose have sent the cc form, received confirmation of reception, but not yet got charged will not lose spot.
Hope they will not mess with the buyers list, and they will drop to bottom the people that have never contacted them on the 26th, like the many are pulling out...

Hey chris,

On the first page I noticed it's flat rate of shipping to North America of $50. I havent read through all 25 pages at 25 posts a page to see if this has changed, so if it has I apologize for a redundant question. But I got my invoice from them and it says $70 shipping to Playa Del Rey, Ca. Has this changed? Thanks for keeping up with everyones questions. Great job with the groupbuy.

My guess is you've added an accessory, which negates the $50 shipping fee and increases it. If that's not the case, then email them back and let them know.

If you added the handles, it's an extra $20 because it's a separate box.

When you do, any chance we could ask Red Hollywood to host for a couple of hours, you bring the demo unit in and we all get a chance to test (if we weren't able to make NAB or Cinegear)?

It was pretty cool to see the unit first hand as I wasn't able to get to NAB. Yang had a lens on there that was pretty stiff to say the least. The motors were at 50% and handled the smooth and fast racks pretty well. I was excited for this unit before but now I'm stoked. They had a really great feature on the hand controller that allowed you to set a digital focus mark. Once it hits that mark it vibrates the controller. Setting the min and max for a lens like the canon 24-70 seems like a breeze and all in all the unit seems pretty solid. Can't wait. Thanks again Chris! You've done yet another stellar job with a group buy.
