  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Tilta Gravity Gimbal

The cable is $120, but they will be including that free of charge to offset the extra $60 shipping cost.

Tilta will ALSO be including that QR plate that enables you to attach the gimbals to jibs, car mounts, etc. Finally got that one resolved. Haha

And yes, for the many PM's I've gotten regarding the cases, they ARE included, so no need to worry. Wish people would read the thread posts. Hehe

I'll be spamming out another set of instructions just to make sure every understands/sees this, so be on the lookout for that. Sorry for all the back and forth...I'm just the middle man trying to make both parties happy, which I think now, we all can be.

I'm adding an armorman to my order (not that it makes a difference I think).

I also have an action products runner for sale. Never used it. Anyone interested? Could be a good backup to the one you have already.

And can wait the 4 weeks. New to gimbals, will need time to train.

A few questions:

1. What is the handle rod diameter? 25mm? 30mm?

2. Is there anywhere in Los Angeles that carries the Armor-man so that I might try it out? I put one on at NAB 2015 and hated it... had to fight the arms constantly. But I understand that it was a prototype and not properly adjusted. I will try Abel Cine.

3. Can power run from the Gravity gimbal battery internally up to the cradle/handles, or only the opposite direction? The manual is far from clear...

Where can I find BTS / review of The Gravity+ Armor man combo? Not seeing good photos or video showing the actual setup/limitations of that combo.
 
Anybody know any cheap transmitter-receiver (perhaps hdmi) to use as a close range video feed for the (handheld Monitor) mimic controller

One question on shipping. Is that 7-10 business days till it ships out from overseas or from the US middleman you mentioned (Abel I think you had said)? What would be the total rough estimated shipping time to receive it. I have a shoot I could definitely use this for the week of September 19th. If it's not realistic to receive it by then (which seems like would be the case, then I'd be down to wait).

Abel Cine carries them.

You can power off of the battery with a D-tap splitter cable which they include, but it's not really run internally.

There aren't a lot of them out in the wild yet. You could always check youtube. iKan has a walkthrough video on their youtube channel as well.

Be careful on going too cheap as those systems may or not interfere with the Gravity/Mimic controller. You could always pick up a Cinegears 150M system...is crazy solid/reliable and gets you decent range since you may nor may not always be next to the actual gimbal.

They are still at BIRTV/IBC, so give it another day or 2. If you still haven't heard, send them another email.

Not to sidetrack this GB, but I've gotten a lot of PM's about Tilta's WFF. They are still refining the 3 channel version, but here's a sneak peak at their single channel version which released today!...and yes, I'd hold off on buying any of their WFF's.

This has been great Chris. Can't thank you enough for arranging and playing middle man as things got sorted out, can't begin to imagine the amount of time and work that was for you. Just finalized my invoice (they answered my shipping question btw) with them and I will be paying tomorrow. I'm pretty stoked.

You'll want to add it from the beginning, but you must pay by the 16th.
