  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Tilta Gravity Gimbal

Ah shit! i cant believe i didn't see this till just now :-(

If you plan to buy the Armorman 2 just go to BH photo, they lowered the price on their site, and with not having to pay tax and shipping, its less than $200 more than this GB price.

Matter of fact I got my Gravity brand new from this guy for a $3400 accepted offer. Free shipping no tax etc.

He has 9 left. Thats about the same difference, only $200 more than the GB.

Theres still plenty options out there.

I wont exactly say that, GB was $2975 (including shipping) + QR plate and 2 (or 1) extra batteries, while AM was $1847 + Gravity power cable. My suggestion is that Nathan probably post if anyone wants to opt out and take up their spot. Perhaps Chris can help with that. My experience with GB is you rarely have 100% follow through from those that are on the list

So is the average wire transfer confirmation from Tilta 4 days or so? I successfully sent the wire 2 days ago, emailed to follow up & haven't heard anything yet.

Remember the time zone difference. For those of you who haven't received either payment confirmation or are even waiting for your final invoice, email Yang directly again and any issue should get resolved/confirmed ASAP.

Thanks guys!

Took a week for my wire transfer to be confirmed. Have been waiting a few weeks to get confirmation of where I am in the wait list and what the ETA will be.
Chris has been immediate in responding, but I am not getting timely response from Tilta :(

I'll ping them to see if I can get a Master List of the orders and when they will approximately go out. But, what I've been told is that your order ships in 4 weeks from receipt of payment if you weren't one of the ones who requested to be in the first group of 25 Gravity's. I know those 25 did go fast, as most people wanted them now as opposed to waiting, even with the battery incentive for waiting.

For what it's worth. All of Tilta's communication has been really fast with all of my emails to them. Responses within only a few hours the couple times I sent them messages, and they confirmed my wire the same day the bank sent it. I've been pleased. Although I did pay right away, so maybe they just got a little backlogged. I'm just hanging tight to hear once mine ships once 4 weeks is up. Can't wait :)

Just tested mounting my Weapon with DSMC2 side handle onto the Gravity. It actually just perfectly fits. Very happy with this.

Edit: I should add it takes some modification. It will not work straight out of the box alone.

That was the right move, You are definitely going to be stoked you did that.

well Ronin-M to gravity is like going from a smart car to a suburban. Not really a valid comparison.

One is made for lightweight cameras (even though people insist on fitting a square peg in a round hole) and the Gravity is made entirely for heavy payload applications.

Your definitely right about that. Theres no comparison.

knowing where we are on this list would be awesome. I paid on the 9th. Tried emailed 3 times now and zero response other than the automated response about Vera Feng being on maternity leave. Before that it was automated responses about the trade show and the holiday.

Is this for both Armorman and Gravity?

I would also love to know where I am on the list. For the record: I responded to the 1st order detail message thoroughly and immediately after the GB ended. Since then I have spent 2 weeks trying to get the quote straightened out and finally paid this Friday. Very disappointing lack of detail and 2-3 day wait between responses. I was told I will be notified which group I'm in after payment but I was not given a shipping estimate.

In my humble opinion, Tilta's designs and price point position them to be a much needed competitor with leading brands but without detail-oriented, lightning-fast sales & tech support people, it is impossible. (For example, the unresolved Motion Ejector [mimic] questions on the FB user group). I'm happy to be an early tester of tools and I will keep you posted on the user group of some developments. Here's to hoping Tilta can pull together excellent support, detailed instructions & worthwhile video demos.
