  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Tilta Gravity Gimbal

Just an update for you all as well.
I have received notice from Sophia that my package is ready to ship, however I am being told that only 1 battery is included in the package. I have ordered 2 additional batteries, I wanted to have 4 total, but am being told that if I want an additional battery that I have to wait 1 month for shipping. I have opted to receive the package sooner than later... seemingly foregoing my free extra battery.

Once IBC is wrapped up, he'll have more time to look into any issues you guys may have, since now you're dealing with his assistants and not him directly. In the next day or 2, he'll have more time.
 
Yang has also added Paul, his manager & Gravity Tech in Burbank, to the Tilta Gravity Users FB group for gear support. You are all welcome to join the discussion there. Current Gravity operators, we would all love to hear your experiences with the equipment. Thanks guys
 
Yang comes back to the USA tomorrow...so emails/questions you guys have sent should start to see responses. With IBC now over, he'll have more time to devote to getting all these orders fulfilled.

So the 4-week timetable is from receipt of payment, your products will ship within that time frame for those of you who stated you're fine waiting, or for those that didn't get their order in soon enough before all the immediate Gravity's were claimed.

For confirmations of wire transfers being received, be patient. Sometimes it takes their bank a couple business days to even have it processed before it even shows up as a payment. I know it can be frustrating when shelling out thousands of dollars and don't have an immediate payment receipt, but Titla is a reputable company and they won't be screwing any of us.

As Yang continues to give me Intel, I'll provide it as quickly as I can. I'm pinging him daily it seems....staying on top of this for you guys!

Chris or anyone else, do you know of a thumb controller that could work with the Gravity?
 
Isn't declaring a low value on international shipping also risky for insurance reasons? I believe this would affect the claim and pay out if the electronics or hardware are damaged in transit. Who would be responsible for the claim if the packages are damage or lost?
 
Sent the wire transfer and mailed Sophia over 24hrs ago, she is yet to acknowledge either the payment or my mail. Is this normal or I need to resend my mail

They mentioned in an e-mail they will be out of office Sept 15 - 17 for Mid-Autumn Festival.
 
I requested a PayPal invoice WITH THE 4% FEE SHOWN to comply with my accountant's request. Tian replied that it would need to come from China but apparently its a National holiday and their offices would be closed until Sept 18th.

Given the GB rules to pay before the 16th, where does that leave us?

I'm in a similar situation. I've been asking for paypal transfer and the base price for the Gimbal in my quote was $2923. Shouldn't it be $2775?
I replied to that and asked for clarification but haven't heard anything back since.

Chris, any Idea how to proceed?
 
The reason why your invoice is more is because you're paying via PayPal - increases by 4%.

There will be a payment extension since a lot of you haven't paid yet. No worries.

M you can use their Mimic controller for fast positioning of the gimbal. Currently they don't have a radio handset or thumb controller, but I'm told a thumb controller is in the works.

Just be patient. It takes time for the wire transfer to show on their side...don't worry.

They should email you a proper invoice with the total.

There is a thread about this on the FB Tiltamax Gravity User group. The rig has an S-Bus port but no accessories have been announced yet. I've requested compatibility with Aerial Pixels thumb control, radio joystick remotes and Alpha Wheels. The US Tech Support is talking to their engineers. The jib & car mount applications will be strictly mimic-style for now.
