  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy - Tilta Gravity Gimbal

I was invoiced quickly and paid on 9/8, found out Friday that first batch went quick so I am in the 4 week wait pool but will get the extra battery for my wait.
 
Tilta has already sent the new app update to apple for approval, which will make all the settings of the gimbal much easier to understand. I agree, that they are slow in getting materials out to users, but they are trying, and the product is in high demand, especially with this GB.
 
A little disappointed with Yang at Tilta :( requested in every communication that I want to be in the first wave and provide all info early, but still waiting for confirmation that I am even confirmed to be on 'the list.' It took a week to confirm receipt of payment (direct wire transfer) and it is now a few weeks of no responses to emails.
At best unprofessional, at worst feeling a bit cheated. It is not that difficult to send an email confirmation of when you will receive the unit you paid in full in advance for.
Any help from Tilta here? Do they read this thread?

I have had a good dialogue with Tilta so far. They have responded in 1-2 days, I got confirmation that my wire transfer came thru and that they will ship as soon as possible. So far so good. Thanks Chris for setting up the Group Buy!

I think some people's emails have slipped through the cracks. On it though for you guys.
 
My communications with Tilta in the beginning did go well, but after they confirmed receipt of payment a few weeks ago it has been radio silence. I requested to be in the first wave and have asked for an update on shipping estimates, just to not hear back.
I thought, having paid quickly, that I would have my gimbal by now... but not hearing back at all is a little unnerving.

I do know that the gimbals in the first wave went very quickly...since most people wanted them now. From what I've been told, it's a 4-week window from when you actually pay to when they ship it.

Well, I should have been in that window. They asked me if I wanted it right away, I replied yes and paid right after. This was their reply: "Ok,we got your payment via Paypal today.We will ship your order ASAP."
Problem is when I don't hear anything after that, no "I'm sorry, unfortunately that initial batch is gone" ar anything like that. I asked a couple of times about an update, where they could have told me that I didn't make the initial shipment batch, but to be ignored is not cool... And I emailed all 3 of them.
 
Not overly concerned but just to share my experience so far: Same scenario as others. I wired payment on Sept. 7th. I had to ask for confirmation of receipt. Was also told I missed the boat for the first batch and they'd let me know when my unit would ship.

Some form of update would be greatly appreciated. If they anticipate a delay for some reason, now is the time to let us know. For now, I'm assuming the 4 week shipping arrangement is still on track, for me around Oct. 5th.

Yang even told me over facebook chat that if I paid on the 8th in full via paypal I should be able to make it on the list of the first wave. radio silence as well since 9/8 except the few automated responses that kept giving different reasons. (trade show/holiday/maternity leave) Sunday on facebook Yang finally responded to me directly again and said he needed to check with the factory about shipping.

paid in full 9/8 via paypal balance. :patiently waiting: although I obviously wont have it by my shoot this thursday.

Did I misunderstand or was it said that the first 25 were already ready to ship and anyone else will need to wait 30 days. At this point its going to be 10/8 before it ships I assume.

PS: has any single person received their gravity or AM2 yet from this group buy? What about shipping confirmation?
 
I have an email from 2 weeks ago saying they would ship ASAP, but no tracking or confirmation yet... So I am guessing nothing has shipped, but maybe they will surprise me and one day it will just be on my doorstep.
 
I'm a little disappointing tonight as well.
I paid on the 6th, literally the moment I was told I could pay, and just received an email today from Sophia, telling me that they had not received my payment. I sent them the Paypal transaction that was sent to them, I even notified them immediatly that I had paid, and was told initially by sophia that they had received my payment. So it seems I am still waiting. Very disappointing, I was hoping to be in the first batch out as well, and now it seems I haven't even been put in the cue. Thinking about looking at other options.

This is not at all what I thought this group buy was about. I'm going to start looking at other options. Very disappointed.
It sucks, because I have been so impressed by Tilta as a company for the products that they are producing, but dealing with them as a company has been frustrating.

That sucks that their that far backed up. But, if you do decide to go thru with it I guarantee you will be happy with the product. Its a pretty sweet machine. And their customer service has been pretty good for me, other than a couple language barrier misunderstandings. They're typically on it, so I assume this is just a supply issue for them.
 
but has anybody of the 25 "in stock" orders arrived yet? are these the ones we are seeing on the facebook group?
