I think the standard kit only includes a P-tap cable for the TX, the RX is sent stock with an AC adapter only. I'd like to add an additional cable for the RX.
No worries. When you go through with each of your orders you'll have the option to add whatever extra cables and things you also want. Don't need to tell me about them, but you will communicate that with Teradek down the line. Personally, I actually do like to double up on cables just to have them in my kit. That's a thing I do for most of my gear.
Any chance they would add the new SmallHD Focus Bolt RX to this GB (http://store.smallhd.com/products/FOCUS-Bolt-RX-Monitor)? This would be a great director's monitor for those getting the 500 series transmitter..
Hi Barry, I've asked and not likely this time around. That also comes out later this year, end of October. IMO that's already price pretty darn low, so I don't know if there's true wiggle room there.
Hi Phil, please add to my order
Peter Lay: DSMC2 Bolt 500 x 2 units
Cheers
Gotcha Peter. Updated.
Teradek is doing a lot here now. Just on the free case side of things alone for the TX + RX Sets and including a few cables. That's pretty crazy. For those looking for the best deals that's what it is IMO. Deluxe Kit gets you more and how to mount and rig the systems to various things, which is also very useful. If you look at my setup on the first post I like to use 1/4"-20 accessory quick releases to quickly rig. I have those on and off camera within 30 seconds and it's pretty rigid once there. Various companies make those. Matthews, Kupo, etc....
I think for anybody doing run and gun or just know they are going for an optimized rig, the DSMC2 Bolt is pretty great. We've seen it various tradeshows and it adds only a smidge of length to the rear of your camera.
Also for those not going with the 703 Bolt, Wooden Camera and others make various cages you can build around your external compact field monitors and transform them into Director's and Client Handheld Monitors. Not as sexy or as simple as the all in one solution, but you can certainly rig those however you see fit.
