  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY: RTMotion Wireless Multi-Channel Follow Focus - Limited Time!

Just got to use an RT Motion v3 everyday for a month on a feature film as the focus puller and I have to say this wireless follow focus is pretty incredible. So far it is my favourite wireless FF next to the Preston FIZ system. Really amazing little tool.

Hey all, got my run/stop cable to day for the Epic, does anyone else have one? How did you get yours to work? I went into the controller menu and set camera to Epic on controller and then plugged the cable into the first the sync port but even tried the control port, neither would trigger the record function on the camera, do I need to set a setting in camera to accept remote trigger?

Cheers

Roy, You have to set op the GPI trigger (can't recall exactly what it is called) to high. There are two of them, the second one stays off I think. Maybe someone else can chime in and correct my mistakes.

Are you guys powering your receivers with the DTap Power Cable or do you suggest a Lemo power connector? I'm looking at buying the Switronix JetPack for Epic power distribution which has a 5V 2-pin Lemo as well as 12V 4-pin Lemo (both are 2.5a).

Hey Alex,
I plan on 4 maybe 2 pin Lemo. Either coming out the +1 module, an IO I had built or the Innocinema modules.

Hi Jarek,

Actually Paralinx bought the product from Amimon (http://www.amimon.com)
CMR bought the same technology and Nyrius (cheap version, lower quality) as well.

Nothing stolen here... even if the reduser sponsors try to make you think that way by deleting disturbing posts or canceling group buys...

Having used the Paralix and the Nyrius, I couldn't see any difference between them aside the screen print on the case, and the optional accessories (the in-box accessories appear at face value to be identical across the Paralinx, Nyrius, and CMR). I don't know if there's an internal difference (aerial/attenae?) but there was no practical difference to us when we used each. Obviously YMMV, and customer service and support is something that needs to be factored in. Cheers

+1 on group buy. Sign me up if you get around for the 2nd group buy Kris.

Thanks
