  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: L'Aigle Exoskeleton

Paypal, or CC is the way to go. it's not about fees.

As others, I pay an (expensive) insurance on my card for various items, I sure want my Exo to be on it. Bank transfer is excluding that insurance.
Unlike other, I can go pay with my CC at L'Aigle, but I understand the need to have paypal checkout on CC.

Thanks for your input. Agree!!!

Yeah I too am concerned. I too rather pay with Paypal (post deposit). Pierre needs to explain what's happening or resolve the paypal element before people start losing confidence and start asking for refunds. If you're a business offering paypal then you need to figure it out how to move forward. Otherwise, get a Credit card account. This is big business and even mom and pop convenience stores can get a visa or master card system. He needs to resolve this.

I was about to pull the trigger, but not if I can't use paypal. Is the deadline still Dec. 31 even with this mixup?

Add me. My deposit should be in later tonight or tomorrow morning. Setting up wire xfer.

Dear All Redusers,

Thank you for taking part in this Groupbuy.

Carey asked me to clarify the Paypal issue. Like most of you, we actually never had to think about Paypal and didn’t have a clue about their methods until this morning. For those who are interested, just make a quick Google search about Paypal, with entries like “frozen accounts, restrictions, money sequestered for 180 days...” Paypal claims to have 100,000,000 accounts. Multiply these by mere “sequestered” 10$, they got 1 billion free money to play with...
Anyway, we lost 20 of your deposits for an indefinite period of time, having someone in charge over the phone is impossible, so Paypal is now out of the question.
We will have a credit card payment method programmed on the online shop these next days.

Now back to joyful things. You’ll have a few more surprises coming soon about features and design.
I guess you all understood that this operation is for L’AIGLE not about profit, but publicity. Our goal being to quickly get 100 units on the field and hopefully have thousands of people badly wanting one too. So you just had a one in a lifetime opportunity to get your unit at the cost price.

In the history of mankind, you will be the first “everyday users” of a commercial exoskeleton ! Isn’t that something ?

Pierre - Thanks so very much for the quick and clear response. Personally, I am fine without a Paypal option as long as there is a credit card (Amex) option. Of course, I already paid my deposit with Paypal so that is water under the bridge.

Looking forward to the Exo!

Now that's what I call a first post! Welcome to Reduser Pierre! We all appreciate the opportunity we are getting here. Thank you again!

Pierre - the statement above is worrying in so far as 'lost' 20 Paypal payments.

Can you clarify please? Does this mean there are 20 'lost' payments - if this is the case, you need to inform those people who then need to get their money back.

I'm still awaiting clarification of my Paypal payment on the 18th - I sent Carey details (as it was on another named Paypal account), so I am concerned regarding the comment above ('lost' payments).

I'll PM you details on my case, but I also think you need to clarify the lost notion and what that means? If there's a 180 day restriction - how does one go about a refund?

On the Exo, looking forward to seeing more!

the statement above is worrying

Don’t worry about that. We take full responsibility for having offered the Paypal payment solution without knowing everything about it. We are now struggling to force Paypal to refund the last 20 buyers. But you really can’t get someone in charge over the phone or by email. A nightmare. But anyway, the last 20 deposits are considered effective, even if they won’t be on our own bank account anytime soon – or ever?
Just rejoice about what's coming, we deal with the problems!

Paypal is in my own backyard, here in Silicon Valley. Not sure what I could do but if there is anything, let me know. I can certainly camp on their doorstep! :-)

And for further clarification... is there a difference between the status of "the last 20 buyers" and any of us that paid their deposit (via Paypal) earlier?

Thanks.

Thanks Pierre for quickly communicating and the reassurance. These little touches is so important and truly means a lot to many of us. Keep at it and keep us posted :cheers2:
