No one seems to care about the pennies in this thread but what is the shipping cost to the US likely to be? Another cost to consider is the exchange rate. You won't get the internet conversion rate when you pay, but a rate that will hit your pocket book harder. Changing $US dollars to Euros has always been a losing proposition. Again this is not something that influences the decision, but better to know what the bottom line is ahead of time. Plus Federal Express never fails to send me a bill for custom fees.
Sign me up for one. Thank you for arranging this.
James.

Galen has an interesting point. The current euro to dollar exchange rate is 1.26, which means the 2,495 Euro level would translate to $3,144. I'd be curious as to how far off that the actual price might be; 5%, 10%? And what would be the shipping charge? Is the 100 euro vs. 350 euro example somewhat in the ballpark?
And, Carey, I am not sure I understand your response about these things being a "non-issue" at the 60+ level.
Thanks.
Sorry Terry, I meant that if we get to the next tier in sales, the extra savings will offset the cost of shipping.
OK - I understand. But I am still not clear on just how much the shipping and currency exchange will add back to the stated price at any given level. The discount may offset some or all of that but it still brings the overall cost back up.
OK - I guess I am being vague in my questions. Straight up: How much can we estimate shipping, import duties and currency exchange will cost us.? That stuff will not changed no matter what the final discount is on the unit itself.
(I have participated in several group buys myself so I understand the basic mechanics.)
Another question: Is there any sort of case for the unit and, if so, is it included? Thanks.
