  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I have done this in the past for other lenses since I did not want to buy several different sizes. I am currently using a step down ring on the Otus 85mm to step down to 77mm and it works well. The step down ring was done by Duclos as part of the Cine-mod.

I think Phil may have just posted the MSRPs for the filters. Not 100% sure though, have not dug in enough to know for sure. In the end, the deal should be better than buying from B&H.

that makes sense, also it looks like everything but the ND9 at bandh is special order.
im still in for probably 4x 4x5 filters!
 
Interested in 4x5.65". Will sort out which ones soon (already have two).

Got some updates incoming guys. Tricky getting a few questions answered on the weekend, but will have an update tonight.

Optical Flats/Clear, Circular Polarizers, and Black Supermists will be added for Matte Box sizes.

Everything is based on Formatt's MSRP. Some dealers are a bit below the line, but this group buy will get you the lower price especially if we get to the 30% bracket.

Are these sufficient for IR protection on a Dragon sensor or is additional IR filtering needed?
 
Does anyone have any tests up or experience with the black supermists? I cant find much online. If anyone can let me know how they compare to to the Tiffen's it would be greatly appreciated! :)
 
Thanks Phil, I've been hoping another discount for these would show up.

I'll be in for something, as long as Formatt are over their supply issues. Waited nine months for some ND's before getting a partial refund recently, wouldn't want to do that again.

Phil, if I wanted to shoot at 1.4, on the Otus, in LA on a bright sunny day, what strength ND would I need? Obviously a lot of variables, just take a swag. I really miss the motion mount! :)

Also, what optical clear did you use to protect your lenses during the Forged 8k shoot?
