btw, is there a powered ready-to-shoot magnetic mount available somewhere for the R2 ?

My Ronin 2 came in yesterday. In the past 24 hours only way to describe it as "fucking amazing" if you ever used a m10 or m15 then tried a movi pro for the first time. Thats basically what its like, its a huge improvement not just with DJI but in gimbals in general. It's defiantly a improvement over using a movi pro. I'm very happy that I held off from getting the pro to see what DJI had in store. And for once, I feel the gimbal technology is finally there and the self life before it gets outdated is worth the investment.

The only issues I had so far is seems like when you trigger record from the joystick it freezes the camera. Seems like a firmware issue on RED's side. The other issue was the 15mm support they provided. So I don't know if I'm doing the wrong but here are the photos.
This is the 15mm support the package comes with.

When you install the 15mm support on the dovetail it raises the height of the camera a little too much if your running a top plate like the wooden camera smart plate.

So my solution was to just get the 15mm support that mounts directly to the dovetail. And that saved a lot of space.

Jim. Totally agree with how awesome the R2 is. To solve your problem with firing the camera from the remote, plug the cable in to the control port, rather than the sync port, then turn on RED RCP as the control system within the menu of the camera (somewhere in the communication menu). That worked for me.
Yes,
I did see that because I have read every post in this thread as it has progressed. My post had nothing to do with that. The problem is not that the Ronin2 would be shipped out after the accessories, I already knew that. The problem is that people are in fact receiving their Ronins even though I was number 6 on the group buy list but I wasn't able to pay any sooner than I did because of a messaging issue on Soren's side so I paid as soon as I received my code. If you read back to what we were told in regards to this group buy, you will see that our orders were supposed to be put at the top of the priority list for DJI. However, when I emailed support about it, I got the below response today saying that they are out of stock now.

I posted my situation in hopes of getting some help from either Chris or Soren.

Had a Weapon 6K on a Ronin 2 on a Black Arm yesterday and it mostly played very nicely.
Only issue I had was at one point both Ronin batteries were on 2 bars and suddenly it wouldn't power the Weapon properly anymore and we lost a clip on the card. Not sure if it was just a quirk or not.
Ok
Overall it looks and feels very well made and the controller is excellent. I think we did about 60mph forward facing and over 100mph rear facing.
