  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Late to the party. Anybody got a link to photometric a on the DS-1 at 5600K? Can't seem to find anything on their site.

Phil, I was looking for photometric data as well.
All I could find was a quick reference on the B&H site...

Photometrics
32000 lux / 2973 fc at 3' / 1 m
3600 lux / 334 fc at 10' / 3 m
1300 lux / 121 fc at 16' / 5 m
330 lux / 31 fc at 33' / 10 m
170 lux / 16 fc at 49' / 15 m


A few questions:

Is the connector for the AC power adapter the industry standard 4-pin XLR?
Re: Would like to use other batteries - such as an Anton Bauer VCLX or battery belts.

Does the yoke slide at all?
Re: To counterbalance battery size or if used with only AC supply...

Is there a play sample of the iOS app?

Is there an index to the DMX512 data?

I asked them myself and did some research. They do not charge customs on checkout. And all shipments come from Estonia regardless of buying from EU or US store. For other Canadian's wondering about import: Estonia is a "Most Favored Nation" so it appears you just have to pay your provincial sales tax (for me it's $150 per light in BC tax).

There is no "Yoke" but a tripod mount that can be attached to the light or the PSU, unfortunately will not slide in its location.
The iOS app is free to use: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ds-control-dmx/id1093423107?mt=8, it also possible to use it on Arri Skypanel or L series / Kinflo RGB fixtures.
The DS iOS app use standard ArtNet so the fixtures are configured and used as DMX nodes.

Either we ship from Estonia or US but if local taxes or duties apply - You have to take care of them Yourself. We can ship with Your currier and we can take the amount ans multiple transfers - no problem.
