  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY - CoreSWX HYPERCORE 9 Mini Batteries

The word I got from CoreSWX is that since they have a business registered in CA, they have to charge use tax. If they had a brick and mortar sales building, they would charge sales tax.

Either way, I have never heard of paying use tax to the retailer, as its normally something we would claim on our own and pay directly to the appropriate tax entities.

Deal breaker for me, as it adds almost $22 to each battery.

CoreSWX is a registered business in CA so we are obligated to collect tax on sales in CA. If you'd like to call CA BOE and ask Tax questions, here is their number: 1-800-400-7115

Registered in CA but located in NY. Copy that. Thanks for the clarification.
 
Wow! These guys aren't messing about. I got the invoice and paid it last night. I already have a shipping notification. A successful group buy indeed!

I agree, all these crowdfunding group buys happening here need to move over to kickstarter where they belong.
 
Soooo. i got my package and it only came with one GP-X2S rather than the two that i ordered and which on the shipping label says was shipped. Wow, this is the 2nd time in two weeks that this has happened to me.
 
Arg, the dance with UPS. First attempt failed because the apt was listed. Now it's timing, hanging around these part. FedEx is so much easier. But I'm still stoked. Can't wait to put these to use. Are 150WH versions coming? Other companies have similar size batteries is 150wh
 
I got my four v mount batteries, and very impressed, they are overall smaller, lighter, and fit much nicer than the prior generation (slimline) which were only about 75 instead of 100 WH. The runtime on an Epic W with only 7" monitor attached is about 1 hour 45 minutes per battery. Very impressed!
 
Received my package this week. Batteries are a great size for packing and travel. They play nice with every Anton Bauer charger I have. They have a very solid, satisfactory feel to them, it's hard to explain. Getting 1:45 indicated runtime on my Raven. Going on their first shoot tonight! Will update with pictures.
 
Also got my package of V mounts. I'm super impressed with their size and weight. I can't wait to put them into action the next two days.
