  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The time has finally come! The CoreSWX HC9 Mini Battery Group Buy is Here!





CoreSWX, formerly Switronix, has a long-standing history of delivering some of the best battery and charging solutions in the industry.
Their new line of Hypercore 9 Mini batteries are low profile to match the small form factor of today’s digital cinema cameras.






The HC9 Mini comes with an LED backlit runtime LCD on the front of the battery pack that lets users know how much battery time is left
when in use and also indicates remaining charge time while connected to a charger. This allows users to plan their shoots down to the minute.
The RED-specific version can communicate directly with a RED camera’s LCD/VF.

The HC9 Mini’s battery cells are encased in an over-molded, rubberized housing, providing additional protection against accidental impacts
that may occur when operating in rugged conditions. Like several other Hypercore batteries, the HC9 Mini is safe and legal for air travel.

The HC9 Mini batteries are charger agnostic and can be used with non-CoreSwx Branded chargers.

The HCM-9AG (Gold Mount)Batteries will work on RED’s new Gold Battery Module PRO
(Anton Bauer Cine Batteries will not mount on this module)

The HCM-9AG (Gold Mount)Batteries can be charged on Anton Bauer branded chargers.

Group Buy Discount Tiers
Tier 1 - 5 batteries ordered = 10% discount ACHIEVED
Tier 2 - 10 batteries ordered = 15% discount ACHIEVED

@ Zack - have you guys made significant improvements since the previous design? I have the Hyper-Core 98WH batteries and found the battery degradation to be pretty bad along with the LCD not being accurate, like at all. Hoping this isn't the case anymore?

Hey Chris,

Thanks for bringing that up. Yes! We've made significant improvements on our packs at the design, cell, and component levels. The LCD now has a white backlight, which is much easier to read compared to the old green backlight. The runtime calculation method has been refined to display more accurate info as well. With the new 12A discharge capable cells, cell degradation will be less apparent compared to the 10A discharge capable batteries, even on aged batteries.

If your batteries are showing signs of abnormal degradation, we can take a look for you. How old are they?

@Zach - can the standard v-mount be included in this group buy? I use v-mount for many other things, so it would be great to have the standard SMBUS interface. Thanks!
