  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY: Cinegears Wireless Follow Focus Christmas Special!

So just to confirm if our name is on the list, once the deal ends tomorrow, where do we go from there? Do we get an email or link or something for the payments?

you will be PM'd a private code and link.

okay does it end tomorrow morning or right when the big clock goes to 12am Monday?

Please put me down for 2 High-Torque and 2 regular strength motors. For transmitters, two express and two express plus. Thanks!

Chris,

Any chance the questions I asked in Post# 142 can be answered before the deadline tonight?

Tnx!

I'm not sure of the tech channel specs/requirements...that's Steven. But in terms of all accessories, either go to Cinegears.com or DIYfilmtools.com and you can check them out there.

On the Cinegears site, I had found a list / pix of the aks but did not see pricing.
On the DIY site, I found some descriptions and pricing, but not the discounted list.

In one earlier post, you referred to two aks, both listed at $100 and discounted to $60.

From that, can we assume that other aks are also discounted 40% when ordered?

As far as waiting for Steven's answer, just to give you background;
The standard frequency for the ScriptLinc (wireless time code logging) is also at 433MHz. Steve mentioned additional channels - want to ensure that they can work together…

The FCC Whitespace query relates to all of the spectrum reallocations, introduction of TVBD's into our working environments and reservation of frequencies by licensed users…
Things are going to be getting quite crowded out there.

Other than the accessories noted with the specific discounts, all other accessories will get 15% off when added to the order. Most of the accessories not mentioned are cheaper anyways...so you're not looking at several hundred dollar items.

I'll message Steven about the frequency.

Thanks for filling in the blanks on accessory pricing Chris - will certainly help me make a decision (and likely a few more folks as well).

Sorry I couldn't answer all your questions...I've done my best to get answers on questions I didn't know from my experience with the unit or details with the GB from the folks at Cinegears. Steven has been vital in making this whole GB happen. He's taken my suggestions to heart and really put this system at an amazing price point.

Hopefully you know exactly what you're getting. It's really a great product. I haven't ever had any issues with my system and everyone who gets one with this GB will be VERY happy!

The controller in this GB is the newest improved model, it is even better than the one Chris has. more information will be posted soon.
the price is the best for all accessories.
this is a Red epic Remote Rec trigger launching pre release promo.
Different country has different radio regulation. The Cinegears wireless follow focus uses 433 mHz RF for wirless transmition, it will avoid 2.4Ghz or 5.8GHz wireless devices.

, Hocus Focus, ARRI wireless follow focus system is using 434Mhz.http://wolfcrow.com/blog/understanding-wireless-video-production-part-two/
434Mhz is part of the ISM frequencies so it can be used for just about anything and everything as long as the power and modulation types follow the rules.
DASH7 is based on the ISO/IEC 18000-7 open standard for the license-free 433 MHz ISM band air interface for wireless communications. 433 MHz is available for use worldwide, except certain countries where it is considered a restricted or licensed. The wireless networking technology was originally created for military use and has been re-purposed for mainly commercial applications in place of proprietary protocols like ZigBee or Z-Wave.
The Cinegears Wireless Follow Focus equpment is made in China, it is CE certified product.
