Hello. I'd be also interested in a quote. Switzerland. Thanks!

Update #14: Joey from CAME wrote me the lowest possible price for him (incl. LEMO and HD-SDI), but asked not to publish it openly (same as eemov). I'll send everyone a pm tomorrow.

Update #15: Liang are doing a REDuser version of the M02 (same as CAME), incl. HD-SDI & LEMO, double battery plate similar to MOVcam and a monitor mount on 15mm rods. Photos are coming soon. Price ~1500USD. I told them we have the following requirements:

"I think it would be best if there is a 4pin LEMO and an HD-SDI socket at the top as well as on the bottom of the sled . The battery plate could either go straight into the pole, and then be split up to the lower and the upper connector, or has a straight out cable to 4pin LEMO which would be connected to an additional 4pin LEMO connector at the bottom of the sled. This would make it easier to repair something, for example if a cable breaks."

Since they are already doing a new version, do you have any ideas for modifications? Please send them to me or post them here with photos or drawings to illustrate them asap!

Thanks for your continued hard work on this David, it's much appreciated, I am eager to move forward with a choice and look forward to your pm.

Any updates from the testers?

Couple suggestions. Bubble levels on both stage and bottom of the sled. Also a zero degree tilt marker on the stage and a line marker to line up the the shafts. In addition the 15mm ROD assembly for the monitor should have an adjustable height and should also have a marker to line it up on the shaft. Would be great to have a mount that will include the ability to still use weights on the rods.

Allow me to add my thanks to David for his efforts for the Red community. I am interested in this group buy but would still like to see some additional video of the device in action with a Red camera. Showing the operator in action as well as the results of their shoot. I have viewed several of the videos but I still have reservations about it's capabilities with an Epic or scaled down Red one MX (I'm aware of the weigh restrictions).

Once again thank you Mr. Kellermann. BTW I love your country. Shot in Amburg and Vilseck this summer. Beautiful.

I might suggest not going overboard with suggsestions and additions. It's an inexpensive steadicam system and we could very quickly begin to overcomplicate things for the price point we're looking at.

Also, I don't want to wait two or three more months. :)

Great ideas. Will forward them.

It's not a matter or overcomplicating it...it's trying to improve it...so it works better.
Some guys said how they were going to personally modify it and such...well unless
you own a machine shop and your own CNC machine..modifications can easily wind
up doubling the original price. Better in such case to see what can be done by manufacturer.

Also, I don't want to wait two or three more months. :)
Perhaps splitting into a "now" group buy.... and a later one if the manufacturer
is willing to continue to work on future modifications/additions. If it winds up
costing more it is still a bargain cause there is not really anything inbetween
the $1500 model and the $5,000 ones manufactured.

Thing is most of us here are steady-newbies..we need an experienced people to test and
suggest improvments to the arm because it is most important part.

Liang just send me this message. I think we can make this group buy something really special:

We are very interested in customizing a RED version for you. Please send us the list of your wishes, the datasheets and photos. We will try to design and produce a sample first.

So post your ideas, if possible with drawings or photos, so that there are no misunderstandings. I made an extra thread for it. Or send them right to me via pm or mail, if you don't want to post them openly.

Cheers
David

I am interested in this group buy also, pending results of some of the testing and modifications as indicated. David, can you add me to the PM or email list for off-board communications? Much appreciated, and thanks to you and everyone spearheading this effort.

Joey from CAME wrote me. He offered us a new price which I'll send you early next week via pm plus a discount for every future purchase. I just want to wait with the pm for the other offers by MOVcam and Glidecam, since sending a pm to everyone is quite time consuming.

what is more , in future all your buyers can get our 12 percent discount if they shop at our company website: www.camera-video-broadcast.com

Maybe ask people who are interested to send you an email instead of pm?
