Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

Brandon has stated multiple times that it's better to email him as it is easier to keep track of conversations. His PM box is always almost filled to the limit.
If someone can PM me brandons email that would be great. Thanks.

Please PM me Brandon's email also, thanks. I searched through many of the threads, but not all, and couldn't see it. Thanks!

You can PM me your emails and I'll get back to you. I'm buried in email/PMs at the moment, but will be getting back to everyone during the weekend.

Does anyone know what the equivalent brightness is for 4 full daylight strips at full power arranged in a 4 x 4 panel like Brandon built? Lets say compared to a tungsten unit in watts?

Two 1' x 1' panels and two 1' x 3' (foldable!) "kino flo" panels. It can all literally fit in a backpack with room to spare, frames included! We made these tonight. I'll tell you guys what this is for tomorrow... :)

Hi Brandon - up to my neck in CG stuff at the moment, so not had time to catch up :)

No rush on my stuff - just figured I'd better say hello!

The Strips are all each 5 meters long... which is 16.4 feet the picture you linked to has eighteen 1 foot strips.

So, I would assume that one strip could make that 1x1 panel

I think they are rated at like 10k+ lumens

--hope that helps

I may be crazy since I already have 11 strips on order but, since they are all variable, I realize I can't just slap them on a battery without a controller. Brandon, any chance I can tack on a couple daylight spools? :-)

Additional question (for anyone) - J just read back through 100+ pages of this thread and don't see an answer :)

I see that the controller can handle 40 amps - about 4 full strips if I am not mistaken. But, the power supplies (desktop), I believe, can only handle a single strip. How does one power the big panels I have been seeing people assemble; the ones with multiple strips?

Thanks.

Great idea. . . if you live where the current is 220V.

Hey Brian,
First of all, I hope your health is good and you are feeling well. My situation has changed so I'm going to have to sell my order. I believe I know what I ordered but can you look it up for me and let me know so I don't try and sell something I don't have coming to me? Thanks man and once again, I hope your health is well.
Patrick Coker

P.S. I tried your PM but it is full.

I'm trying to figure out how much I can power off a Red Brick. I temporarily hooked a brick up to the daylight side of a variable strip and got 15.6V and 4.5A which means 70.2 watts draw. A Red Brick is 153wh so theoretically I could power two strips for just over one hour. But here's my question:

Is 140.4 watts (2 strips) too much draw on a Red Brick? What about 70.2 watts (1 strip)?

Bonus question: Will power consumption go up as you switch color temperatures. For example, if I were at 50% daylight / 50% tungsten, is it going to us any more power than 70.2 watts per strip?
