  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

Thanks again for the support, everyone. It's been kind of a crazy time.

I just finished shooting the preliminary tests. I use a variable strip for these tests.

As a reminder, here's an extreme example of what "flicker" looks like with LED strip lights:

The horizontal lines are what you are looking for in the video.

The flicker tests show 24fps, 60fps, 120fps, 250fps, and 500fps. My Scarlet maxes out at 60fps and 16:1 compression, so 120-500fps are simulated by adjusting the shutter, but still recording at 60fps. I used the Skin Tone - Highlight OLPF for these tests and the iris was wide open the entire time. I did not change it for the high frame rate shots.

Enjoy...

It's nearly 6am here. If you have any questions about the video, I'll answer them when I wake up. I'm going to plow though more emails, private messages, and orders all day Monday.

Oh, and the printing on the controller is temporary! The final printing will be white and look much better.

Looks GREAT to me!

Same situation. I must not be a member of the club.

:-(

There's no club. I need to make a change to the video. Almost done.

Something about a "spoon" is running through my head just now.

The video is back up:

Looks GREAT!

So let's wrap this sucker up and send 'em out!

Stephen

Trusting that i'm still on the list and do not have to do anything to get these shipped when they are ready? Thanks

When you have a chance, could you give the status of my order? Last I heard was that it was about to be shipped. Thanks.

It is great to see this all turn out so well!

Bravo!

Soon! Very soon!

Yeah, you are all set, Nick.

I'll email you as soon as I have a tracking number. Hopefully tomorrow, Rod.

Bravo!

The delays suck, but the lights and controllers will rock and we are close! :)

I'm meeting with the database guy tomorrow. When the web app/database is done it will be like the weight of the world is lifted off my shoulders. Managing everything will be so much easier.

Thanks much!

Stephen

I made a little piece of kit that I wanted to share. Each light strip has a thin strip of velcro on adhered to the back running down the entire length. 1 inch velcro and 1 inch black gaff tape were adhered to each other to create a flexible velcro base. The strips are then attached (or can be removed) as needed.

I'm having another MS attack and heading to the hospital tomorrow morning for more steroids or, if my liver says, 'no bueno', then plasmapheresis (ugh). Having trouble walking today, losing strength in my legs, chest tightness, head spinning, etc. Not a good day.

The web database is being worked on now as is the controller. This won't slow down either of those 2 things. I'll be in at least a few days. This will slow down some of the pending "early" deliveries. I'm sorry for that.

If you missed the post about the latest controller test, check it out:
