  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Group Buy: Budget CRI 95 LED Strip Lights

Where does a guy go to buy these today. Looks like I missed out on the group buy.

Oh man, can't wait to get mine. Out of curiosity, is there a difference in the strength of the light between the variable and fixed strips?

Hey Brandon can't send anything to you mail box. Too full
when you have time can you pm me.?
i have a question
thanks

Sorry, cleared out some PMs.

I'll respond to the rest of you later today, when I'm back at my workstation. I'm on my mobile now.

Sorry for the delay in replying to you guys. I've been dealing with doctor stuff, literally, all day the last couple days. Orders are continuing to go out though. I should have a big chunk of time for this tomorrow to get through your emails.

I will be shooting HFR tests with an Epic tomorrow or the next day. A component is being upgraded in the controller this week. Again, this is to keep the heat down when the unit is under a full 40A load. I should have an update on that in a day or two. Once that's done our production run will be ready to start.

I'm getting a lot of feedback from people who have received and tested their lights. Everyone seems very happy and a lot of people are asking for more! I'm really excited to see what you all do with this stuff.

It's going to feel like Christmas because I can't remember at all what I ordered! ha ha!

I'm there too. Pretty sure we are landing in a great place...but after 10 months...I have no idea what I ordered. Looking forward to whatever it may be.

Hey Brandon. I emailed you about the light order. Awaiting response. Thanks.

Hi Brandon,
Sent you a PM about my preferred shipping address. Don't want it shipping to the address reflected in my paypal. Pls confirm. Sent it over 2 weeks ago.
Thanks

A dozen more orders are on the way out the door!

REMINDER: SEND ME YOUR PHONE NUMBERS IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY.

Replied.

Abiodun, you just paid your invoice 9 days ago :) I'll confirm your address with you before anything is sent. You are in the queue, but people are in front of you.

Thanks Brandon,
Don't mean to pressure you or get it earlier than I deserve, just wanted to make sure you don't send it to me directly. I can as well kiss those units bye bye if you send it to me directly cause of crazy clearing tariffs. Just wanted to prevent that. Thanks

I have the address you sent and understand your situation. Don't worry, Abiodun :)

Hey Brandon. How did the controller test go the other day? Is the controller signed off? When can expect to see shipping of controllers?

Kelsey, The frame rates are all good up to 200-250fps (our spec is 120). I should be shooting tests with an Epic tomorrow. I'm borrowing one for this, but my friend decided to go to IBC for the weekend. I wanted to do it earlier last week, but I had a rough couple days (week plus, actually) with another MS flare up. I could barely see the computer screen on my workstation for much of last week due to Thygeson´s spk. Another in the potpourri of autoimmune issues I'm dealing with this year. When one flares, they all do. My eyes are back now. Still can't feel large parts of my legs :/ Anyways, c'est la vie (for now).

I haven't had any problems with the unit I'm testing, but their stress testing revealed it does still get a little too hot with a full load (40amps). So they are upgrading a component to solve that problems and then we are done. I already posted this last week, but that's still the latest. I should have news about the latest revision any day now. That's the only remaining issue. It really works beautifully. We are very close.

What is the voltage of the controller? 40 amps would be an enormous load at 110V, so I figure it must be in the 24 volt range.

12-24V, but you need a 12V source for the strips in our group buy since they are 12 volt strips.
