  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can someone who is already using the connectors reassure me that i am using them correctly by covering one led to get the contacts
in the connector to line up with strip connectors after i cut, seems odd but i dont see any other way

Yeah, if you use the connectors that came with the accessories kit you will end up having to cover/clip one of the LEDs to connect.

It's correct. This type of connector was originally designed for strips with half the LED density.

It was sent 6 days ago. Check the email for the account you use with PayPal.
 
Any idea when things are going to start shipping? Excited to start working these into my shooting schedule. I have a shoot in 2 weeks I would love throw this into the mix. Doubtful, but it would be awesome if they were here by then.
 
Just checking in, I had ordered a roll of daylight and no fancy controllers so I would have thought it would have gone out by now. I understand you are busy, no worries, no rush, just checking on a status update.

It won't be by then, I'm sorry. There are still 64 invoices (out of 400+) that need to be paid (come on guys!). Once everyone has paid, it will take 2.5 weeks. to get our controllers manufactured.

I don't have any way to sort out who ordered just strips and no controllers with PayPal. The only people that have anything now do because they replied to the email I sent asking who wants some of their stuff early. I only had a couple days to get those out while in the US. The EU early deliveries are going out this week.

The second group buy will all be done on a password protected web shop setup for this. Shipping will also be automated. That will make managing things much easier.

I was hoping to get everything out this month. It's looking like it will be early April now. I'm just sent out a reminders to everyone with unpaid invoices.

FYI. I only just got your invoice. It is paid. Everyone else should get on the keyboard and pay so we can all play with the pretty little lights......

Yes, we will move forward without them once we reach the minimum we need for our controller. We aren't quite there yet. I also haven't signed off on the final prototype yet. It will be soon though...

The people that haven't paid since being invoiced in December will be blacklisted from future orders we do if they don't pay soon. I'm at the limit of my patience with them. Their orders were all confirmed individually and their strips and accessories were ordered and received. I can find other buyers for their lights, but I don't have time to deal with the hassle of all that.

Thanks Alan! I know a lot of people just haven't seen the controller upgrade invoices yet. I'm very anxious to get all this done and shipped off to everyone.
 
So, again, not to be a bother, but to clarify, do I have to wait fro the whole controller thing to get sorted out when it doesn't concern my order? Or are things that are ready to go going to go out before then?
