  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GROUP BUY: BRIGHT TANGERINE FOLLOW FOCUS REVLOVR

I too just got an e-mail, they are a bit delayed but hope to start shipping at the end of October. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I am still waiting! And Waiting.... But I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Any news on BT Atom?
Is Revolvr ready for delivery? According to website it is ready for pre-order. Has anyone recieved theirs allready?

I have not received my Revolvr yet, nor have I received a ship date, even after asking more than once.

But, it will all be worth the wait.

It'd definitely getting annoying when I make payments in one calendar year, and the gear doesn't show up until the next calendar year. My accountants hate me! Hopefully BT will still ship in CY 2016...

Asked BT when Revolvr Atom will be ready for everyone on thier list. This is what they said:
"We will first have to release the Revolvr before we will release the Revolvr Atom. The Revolvr will probably come out in January, so the Revolvr Atom could come out in February or March. However, this is not a promise:-)"

Fingers crossed!

Last I heard, they have resolved the issues that were causing the delays and hoping to ship sometime in January. Hope to get another update soon!

I heard they switched to using an alloy of ground up unicorn horns and faberge eggs in order to ease production.

Or maybe unobtainium. Sorry, hate to pile on but I couldn't resist

On a side note, and perhaps to stand up for BT here. This particular product has been a costly and time consuming one to create. Andy and crew are targeting very high standards and tolerances.

If they were interested in just making a buck this would have been out already. But they are aiming much higher than that. I hope it works out. It's a great design.

And to "eco" what Phil just said...

I have had the pleasure of meeting Team BT during this past years several times at different venues and also seen, touched and played with several versions of the FFF, year after year, and I have been amazed at the progress made each time, which even when the first Prototype I played with was already above all other Manual FF systems I have had used till that pint including Arri's.

The perseverance to make the absolute best FF system there is, is truly impressing the shit out of me, and just can't wait to get to play with this latest version and the final one, with all fine details sorted and ready to go in the hands of the many... And I mean very many... :)

The fact that so many of us (myself included) are showing interest in the revovlr is because we are expecting a very high end product from BT if not the best in its class. Given their track record in matte boxes I'm sure their follow focus will be equally amazing. However, this product has been in development for quite some time now and although I'm all for "good things come to those who wait", it would be nice to get an official word from BT about possible availability of the product.
