  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

There are some incredible projects planning on shooting EPIC... the highest level.

I have to tell you that EPIC will likely been known as the "tipping point".

And if so can you talk about what'll all be included.

Will the current Rocket work realtime with Epic material?
Is it the current rocket than eventually will be encoding r3d/RGB material for the (artist formerly known as) Redray?

When will playout from NLEs (similar to a Kona) be available?

What's the weight kitted down like a dslr?

You spoke of a switch...
Is that for analogue gain?

My hunch is that Epic will blow the MX'ed REDs away. But in what ways?
(Except 5k/lower compression/weight/longer batterylife/more lens mounts... eh... that was a lot, but still)
The internal processing and image analysing gear inside the epic operates at a higher bitrate (?), so I guess it will give more precission?

Can I come and visit RED for a week and work with you guys this fall?
