  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Glidecam 4000 Pro footage with Scarlet

EDIUS!!! Old Grass Valley Group software.

My good friends works there, they are in my home town and the software is often passed over.

Yeah, I've been quite heavily involved with the guys at GV lately, they are a great bunch :) The software is getting legs (it should!) but it will take time. Brands are a big deal in this industry, as with brands comes trust and trust takes time. The future for EDIUS is super exciting :)

this is great to see... especially for me, who as recently as last week was flying my scarlet (stripped of all but essentials) on a glidecam HD-2000 with a body pod. you want to talk about going over weight on equipment (and breaking your back / arm / wrist all at the same time)!

sure it's not good for the glidecam, but it got the job done in a pinch, and otherwise the HD2000 would be in a closet or netting me what, $300 on ebay?

going to look into the 4000 / X-10 combo now, as the 2000 is just plain silly, really. and sure... a zephyr down the road when money is less of a concern!

You guys should check out some of the Ebay (Chinese) brand steadicams.. ie) Leopard and Came brand. Look pretty damn decent, for their super low price and high weight capacity!

Hey Chris, man I can't believe you balanced a 2000!! That's awesome :) But instead of the X-10 rout, I'd consider this new Chinese model that others are talking about on EBAY...I'm sure getting one to try and I'll post my findings early next year :)

Vlad, yeah man, I'm super excited about these....they look legit and much more suited to a Scarlet...can't wait!
