  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Gauging interest in BRIGHT TANGERINE FOLLOW FOCUS

A web portal is to be operational soon. At that time, the line items, with part numbers are scheduled to be available, such that individual kits can be tailored to the Pirchaser's requirements.

The group Buy discounts will also be listed...

Atom is the single sided unit. Think of it as the 'light' or Scarlet type unit that CAN be upgraded later! It comes with one hand wheel!

The Speed Crank is really cool. You can see pictures of it on the web sight... much improved over competitions similar devices, but Bright Tangerine's is MUCH nicer!!

So just to be clear, these are the RETAIL prices, but not the group buy prices? Is that correct?
 
Yes Clayton,

Many are sharing your incredulity and I, indeed, have listed Full Retail Pricing!! I have to say, I was gratified to see that BT was able to crack the barrier levels that they did, given then complexity and engineering involved. When the GB discount is applied, there is going to be a bit of a demand flurry, IMHO, to get multiple units, as many had expected pricing to be more closely set to other offerings.
Very pleasantly enjoying that bit of pricing news!

Allow me to expend on the fact that the "ATOM" is indeed a much smaller system, including the actual Handwheel, which is itself much more compact then the "STUDIO" version...

You and I as well as some that have paid close attention and are in communication with the guys at BT might know this, but not every one here might... Just wanted to clarify it... :)

Hey folks, some people have asked me in another group that I run "Will Bright Tangerine offer a reverse gear for the follow focus units so that I can use Nikon and Leica lenses?"

I've spoken to BT HQ, and they have said that if they have ten solid requests for this feature, they will make it. They did design the Revolver and the Revolver Atom so that it could be added if it were requested. So, if this is a feature you want... please feel free to voice your opinion!

This is very important to me. I have a large set of Nikkor lenses that I use a lot. Whenever I switch to another set, they always focus backwards. ;)

The web portal, which will allow order placement, as well as the particulars (terms and conditions) of the group Buy is not being released just yet. I shall post, when that is available and active. Bright Tangerine is being 100% sure, before enabling order placement, etc.. The requirement for payment deposit, should be, therefore, in beginning Jan, 2015, for those of you with planning needs, in that regard.

I shall convert this thread to the Official Group Buy Thread, for the Bright Tangerine Follow Focus product line.

Good call. At this point, it's no longer and interest...we're (all) getting ready to put up some cash and purchase this bad boy! Just give us the go and the final pricing- want to put this to work soon.

I`m missing the discount. Has the discount been detailed yet? The prices on the first post are list prices, correct?
