Jarred! The moderator is swearing! http://www.reduser.net/forum/showpost.php?p=29254&postcount=20 I didn't even want to quote it so I linked to it.

And he's so shocked he doesn't even tell us what he's swearing about. Just feels like it I guess.

Yes Brook.. He's kidding... At least he better be.. And as for YOU young man. Such words! Such attitude! SOOOOOOOO unprofessional.

You're getting quite a track record here Mr. Willard (Looks through file). First you almost cost every single user IN THE WORLD to lose access to precious photos of RED camera before it's NAB release date, in what we in the agency now like to call "the Easter screw up" then you misquote various sources on ASA ratings... Hmmmm. A punishment is in order... Yes indeed.

Helga?! Gurtrude?! Please come in and have a "talk" with Mr. Willard.. And bring the toys!

 :angry2: :waaa: :w00t:

I believe brook was referring to the camera as being holy, as in it's a modular design with lots of holes in.

The shit reference was merely the description used by many for the lack of holiness (or 'modularity') within other cameras at NAB.

I don't think he was being rude, infact it was a very astute judgement, and written very economically :)

That is pretty damn funny...

That was a clever scheme! Having extras queuing up in front of the RED tent with the wardrobe department inside, let them in and send them out the back door dressed and made up as new `visitors´. Meanwhile some master hypnotists working those few actual NAB attendees who went there, making them believe they saw a 4K digital cinema camera for 17.500 bucks! Next year RED will try to top that stunt with a tiny Pocket RED - yeah, sure.

A guy came into our booth and said that one of our "big" competitor's sales rep had said that RED had hired paid actors to stand in the line around the RED booth to make it look like we had a lot of interest in our Peter Jackson footage. Pretty funny.

Jim

I Jim,

no surprise here.

Some time a go I was talking about my change of heart from the Viper/ Filmstream or Sony 900r(would not ever rent Dalsa or Arri), my reason was RED!

Not to say any names but I was told: The RED is just a hipe, nothing more and will soon be realized that it was just that, you (me) are making a mistake to chose this camera for your project, it sound you care so much about it and have so much passion for it, you definately should not follow something it is not goin to deliver.

So now (yerstoday) here I'am walking arround every ones booth with my 3 RED R's on my neck(JIM thanks much for signing them, a plager seeng you again) so now evry one is stopping me and asking about, so here I go about in an explosion of words, giving my Idol PJ and the RED camera there deserved glory.

RED is here and my cameras will be in my hands about this summer.

Still some (...) was sayng: are you sure it was shot on RED and not with one of our rentals?

I said have a great show here at NAB, ho go check out the movie at the RED boot, maybe I can talk to some one there I think I can get you guys in a bit faster if you can not do 1 to 2 hours line.

Any way you and your team at the end are the true winners, no we are, thanks to your products we will make our projects a reality much faster much better, thanks again JIM.

Ciao,

Mistery solved...

Mistery solved...

Step 1)
- Ask to >150 Reduser's Members to turn around the booth continuosly...

Step 2)
- Give them some cloths to change at a pre-defined time interval

Step 3)
- let them to see the footage presentation about 42 times a day, before continue their walk around

Just a simplified sketch:

The Red Booth is actually on a stage in Culver City. What you are seeing is a holographic projection on the show floor. That's how they were able to get all of the paid extras. Next image will be Red One landing on the moon.

Conspiracy update. I have it on good authority that the paid extras are recently layed off Sony F23 workers.
