  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Fujifilm Eterna F-Log LUT

Messing around with a modified Fuji / Ipp2 Hybrid Lut with better "Red" and 'Cyan" control at the extremes.

Going for a couple of different looks using Resolve's built-in Kodak LUT -

And James Miller's 'light iron' LUT -

Thanks for sharing Brandon.

Trying new Hybrid

1) First Layer Lut Operation Conversion Lut (RedwidegamutRGB/Log3G10 converted to Fuji F-Log/ Fujifilm F-Log Gamut)

2) Second Layer Lut "XT2_FLog_FGamut_to_ETERNA_BT.709_33grid_V.1.00.cube"

Here's the Lut if you just want to fuck around with it for experimenting. Same "White Points" as before

Still having some Colors go out of gamut but here are some examples.

Thanks for all the testing, you guys.
The Hybrid LUT is really starting to shape up really nice, Rand.
Especially with the snow shots it looks phenomenal.
It's good to know the highlight roll-off from IPP2 works with Eterna when used that way.

I got a few more for everybody to play around with.
I didn't feel like switching OLPF's in the car today so I just did some shots with the STH OLPF for a couple panoramas and a couple extra shots of parking lot objects.

We'll start with the parking lot objects.

Shot 23: Still of Red Tree w/CP2 35mm
STH, ISO 800, 5500K, 0 Tint, IPP2 Medium/Medium

Shot 24: Exterior Still w/CP2 35mm

Shot 25: Still of Fading Fire Hydrant w/CP2 35mm

Shot 26: Still from Panorama 1 w/CP2 35mm
STH, ISO 800, 5500K, 0 Tint, IPP2 Medium/Medium

I couldn't decide on which one to use from the panorama for this so I just included them both.

And I actually really liked the no-contrast look on the red tree with Eterna while I was setting it up today.
I think it'd pair really excellently with a more vintage lens for a sort of unique look.

Thanks Brandon for those frames to tinker with. Here's a few philmColor things that are out and some that are coming:

A softer, more clean look using the Fuji Eterna LUT -

Oooh, I like that alot!

Thanks, I was trying to be a bit more sensible about it there.

Here's a warmer, lower contrast, less realistic one, using Rand's hybrid LUT -

That CA on her elbow...
Les, is the blacks raised intentionally? A misfire? :smile5:

The CA is a bit harsh, I think that particular LUT actually made it worse.

The black's are raised intentionally.
