BTW at this point, with a few "stuck screws " it would be a good idea to use Stainless Steel thread inserts(helicoil or solid type) in the adjuster part to make sure this doesn't happen again. While the mount is off the camera it should be a pretty straightforward job for a decent machine shop.First off,
I had this happen on no less than three cameras at the same time. I used a 5/64" drill bit to dig down into the screws and then a EX-1 Reverse spiral screw extractor.
:
I already swapped them 4 or 5 times no problem.
wasnt able to unscrew the allen screws of the mount and i ended damaging 7 screws out of 8....
Yeah, seriously. Totally unnecessary.
Paolo this is what i got.. ill try to post some pics for you tomorrow.

i got it from ace hardware.
If you´re talking about the 8 Screws you see when you remove the cap from the PL mount on my camera they´re not allen screws they are TORX screws, they look quite similar until you look close.Torx look more star shaped than a hexagonal shape. There are extra TORX Screwdrivers available, try that before going to a workshop.

Brent or Jarred,
When are those Nikon Torx screws going to ship? I placed an order for both and I think the only reason I got the PL Torx screws was because my camera was in the shop. I remember there being a delay to the Nikon length. Is that still on? The Tork setup is so much faster and safer. Thanks!

Also.. use a torque wrench when you put the screws on ( with a bit of lube) ... 22 inch-lbs is a good number.
I think you should stick with the PL lenses...

I am having a NIKON kit and a PL kit sent to you, Warren.
