What about 1800 Euro?

FWIW I bought some arri/zeiss lenses from Markus a year and a half ago, and was/am very happy with the sale... just wanted to share my experience.

1000

2800 Euros seems a bit steep considering the nice price of an FF4.

Hi Matt,

the FF4 is a one gear, as I recall. Having two gears the FF3 was a very expensive item because of that. But feel free to make an offer.

I'm right in thinking you can go Studio 19mm and Studio 15mm only, i.e. no regular 15mm?

It is worth telling people that it appears to have Two Speeds Focus Knobs on both sides, very handy in situations where you need to be a bit more gentle as one press of the button on the knob and you're away. Very handy.

I however won't be buying it as I really do need regular 15mm options more than studio 15mm...

Good luck with the sale though, it looks like a beaut.

Hi Matt,

thanks for your insight. The FF3 will come with 19mm rods and 100mm spacing. Actually I do not quite understand what you mean with 15mm studio. For leightweight support the item can be upgraded to suit 15mm rods with 60mm spacing.

Studio refers to the horizontal spacing of the rods, so 19mm is 100mm which is the studio spacing.
Later introduced was Studio 15mm which is 15mm rods also spaced at 100mm.

Regular spacing (60mm) is only only available on 15mm rods but the vertical height spacing is different, in that the rods are closer to the lens.

So the FF4 was introduced to accommodate both studio spacings and regular 15mm, which was traditionally for handheld work...
