Front Lens Cap for 18-50mm RED Zoom?

[Chris Armstrong]

I need to pickup another front lens cap for my 18-50mm RED Zoom.

RED no longer sells a front cap for this lens and I guess the ones they do sell won't fit, so I need to look elsewhere. Does anyone have any recommendations where I can get a front lens cap for the 18-50mm Zoom?

I believe the OD of that lens is 114mm.

Thanks

One of these should work: http://www.ducloslenses.com/Duclos_Lenses/caps.html
I'd call Duclos to double check

My guess is the 114mm would work (i'll confirm), though I'd rather not have to pay $85 for a lens cap. I'm hoping there's a bit cheaper of an option out there.

$85 is a small price to pay to keep a multi-thousand dollar glass instrument safe from dings and scratches.

I'm in the wrong business!
