Frame.IO Launches

[Jarred Land]

It officially finally launched this morning . I have been using the Beta of Frame.io for awhile now and it really is an incredible video/stills project collab tool. If you do creative work for or with anyone else this makes your life alot easier.

Can't say enough good things about it. Good job Emery Wells, John, Jason Diamond and all. Love to see great stuff come from our friends.

Come see Frame.io in the RED booth at NAB

Check it out http://frame.io/

oooh, nice, it sounds like Adobe Anywhere meets Adobe Bridge, but online. Cool.

It really is a cool tool. and it is incredibly fast, they must have a pretty fat pipe.

[Maik Müller]

Awesome! Was waiting for this since the announcement. Will check it out asap.

[Ces Peynetti]

Been using it myself for the past few weeks. Highly recommend it. It's also pretty straightforward when it comes to collaboration. Even my tech handicapped clients have been loving it.

[scott devitte]

Nice....

[Patrick Grossien]

I really hope this will be embraced by many. Congratulations to the launch you guys!
I wish you tons of success with frame.io looking forward to using it since the announcement!

Haven't read all the way through, but do you have to have a license to view work?

My guess is no, sort of like Dropbox. but I'm thinking this would work well with Kickstarter to add a video link to a Kickstarter program.

I do wish they had bigger storage. Just my take but it looks like a big project would have to be highly compressed, if offering it for review.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT: How is their security? Would hate for pirates to have my movie at the same time as me.

[Sean Cruser]

gonna be using this a looot in next few months.

[Will Keir]

Sweet. Are there any tutorial videos up yet?

Iti s REALLY easy to use... I don't think you need a tutorial. Sign up and give it a spin.

[Jason Diamond]

Thanks Jarred!

We're really excited to finally be able to share this with everyone. Dive in and please use the "?" in the lower right corner of the app to give us feature requests and feedback.

Also we're working hard to get some cool things together for all our fellow REDUsers that will likely be after NAB but get in now and start using it and telling us what you need/want.

We have a solid demo project you get when you sign up so you can start playing around and getting a feel for it. it's very intuitive. I think you'll be surprised.

[Ketch Rossi]

Yeah, been on it thanks to the boys, and really love it too, this will definitely change things around on Global Collaborative Projects and will also create a new wave of possibilities.

[Scott Brown]

Looks very very similar to this

I know the Beamshare team and their product is cool but this looks like it will be in direct competition.

As they say though, competition is good

[Suresh Kara]

looks great! i think when the mobile app gets sorted it will fly

[Emery Wells]

Thanks for sharing Jarred.

As he says it's pretty dead simple to use. We designed it to be really familiar and just work like the tools you're already used to using. Here's a short vid: http://support.frame.io/article/6-frame-io-introduction-tutorial

[Burke Doeren]

Just gave it a spin and it's super simple, yet really powerful. Some great ideas went into this. Especially glad to see that it will be easy enough for clients to use as well. Nice work guys!

[Scott Mason]

Is the GB storage amount based on full resolution videos or the compressed versions you make?
