I am selling my Panavision Cookes PL MOUNT, The re-housing is typical Panavision, rock solid and superbly engineered.

18/25/32/40/50/75 T2

FOR CHUCK 18MM T2.2 25MM T2.2 32MM T2.3 40MM T2.3
50MM T2.3 75MM T2.3

Serials:

18mm 701140
25mm 743607
32mm 768256
40mm 758760
50mm 733334
75mm 753212

The glass is the last of the Speed Panchros, the late ones. All matching and all bought new from cooke and re-housed without being used previously.

They glass is all spotless, immaculate. Mechanically excellent. The lenses will be sent down to ICE before being sent out to the buyer, and a receipt and garuntee of any work carried out will be sent with them ( should they need any work that is but at least they will all be colimated )

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a set of Panavision lenses like this, in such great condition. I am not exaggerating this.

I am only selling these lenses as i have 2 sets, and it seems excessive to hang on to them. The images the produce are gorgeous.

As a result I am open to offers on them, i am also open to the potential of a trade/ part exchange on Ultra primes or Super speeds.

Please forward any offers or questions to indiefilmltd@mac.com

thank you.

Oooh,

Very nice, how about I offer a good home and to tell everyone you're a real nice guy?

Seriously though, I take it PV means PV mount? Or are they PL but rehoused by PV?

Great set.

I just have to visit my bankers this week

and see what she and he together think about it.

Mike, yes all PL mount. Re-housed in PL from the get go by Pana.

Hello Bob,

Are these glass identical to these, I mean only the glass inside?

http://www.visualproducts.com/storeProductDetail03.asp?productID=827&Cat=8&Cat2=18&Cat3=26

Please let me know?

Thnx

Tek

Can't say if the glass is identical, how could i tell? without seeing it.?
The major difference of coarse is that these lenses that you linked to are BNCR mount, that is a MAJOR difference as i can't say what these BNCR lenses will cover. Also converting these lenses back to PL would be incomprehensibly expensive. I will supply all the serials to my glass in my original post so you can see how the lenses are matched from each of their FL's.

I can tell you that my PL mount cookes do cover 4K...

Personally i would not invest in BNCR mount lenses. But that's just how i feel about the investment and the return.

Only the 18mm and 25mm were made in the MIII series. All other focal lengths were MII. The MIII wides were reformulated for better performance but I doubt it's a big difference. These are gorgeous BTW.

Evin is right, Cooke only reviced the 18mm and 25mm into Ser III, trying to see where i said they were all Ser III ? Anyway yes, the 18 and 25 are Ser III.

Evin the 18 and 25 were re-developed in response to the bigger gate/frame sizes that were being introduced at the time, cooke did take that chance to make the 18mm distort less....which is nice :-)

and yes they are just gorgeous....

"that is a MAJOR difference as i can't say what these BNCR lenses will cover. Also converting these lenses back to PL would be incomprehensibly expensive."

Since these are "panavised" it still makes them expensive..though comprehensibly then I suppose

Evin, what are you waiting for? sell them standards and get these puppies! hehe.. its a shame though that there isn't an 85 or 100.

That is still a sweet set of lenses though.

Anyone who grabs these won't have a hard time renting them.. having "panavision" lenses gives you instant bragging rights.

Bob how about some footage shot with these lenses?

:angry2: I like my red-headed standard speeds dammit!
And I just bought a 12mm too!

It actually performs better than I had expected. It's quite well corrected and sharp for it's design. The corners aren't up to a UP but they're fine for just about any normal shooting.

I went to OTTO a few weeks ago to test out their Cooke Speed Panchro Century lenses, shot some footy,

Bob's lenses are really nice and will produce a similar picture to the video above. I was going to snatch them up but ended up going with a speedier set of optics instead. ;)
