  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Follow focus advice needed

I like my OConnor CFF-1...I noted Phil using it in the BTS of the Weapon 8K shoot...pricey but good.

Sold my CFF-1 a while back. To me its to many loose parts and to many little screws and knobs. Ofcourse nice that it can be adjusted but a bit frustrating when it comes back in a pile after every rental and when having it on shoots the ACs always prefer arri and most seems more frustrated over the way its assembled than happy about the modularity of it all.

So now I rent or use my little Wifi Fstop wirless and put that to the focus motor.

Think it is just months away until the whole FF scene change drastically.

If I would by something today I think that would be the DJI wireless. or if not wireless I think arri is what gets the least complaints.

I actually haven't found an Arri that doesn't feel like it's loose or imprecise , I have my hopes for the Bright Tangerine, although they... again... delayed the release. Wireless would be nice, but sometimes you just need to be able to pull the focus mechanically, the latency of the mind to human arm is not to be underestimated :tongue_smilie:
