LMAO and on that site are 2 /two/ warnings that you are entering hardcore material!!! ROLF Some people are probably offended by their own urge, he he
Yes we are flying faraway to space but we dont know what is happening 20 cm under our belly. :)

Red=Hot

It gets Harder & Harder trying to distinguish Bad-Taste from what Tastes-Good.

DogDay.

Ahem.

This is ready for theatrical distribution. LOL. :)

I guess if it was a financial option for pornographers to shoot their productions on 35mm film, they'd do it.

We shouldn't blame the tool, actually this is probably the best looking porn I've seen.

Can't wait to get my Scarlet....

I have seen better looking porn.. There was a movie long ago called "Night Trips" I think.. It starred Tori Wells, and was made by Andrew Blake.. Excellent production value and lighting. Editing was top notch.

This was a decent project, but it did not push the tool anywhere NEAR where it can go. Give the RED to a person like Andrew Blake and then we'll see something truely amazing.

As I said earlier, some of the shots are pretty good, but I feel like we're grading on a curve since it's porn. If they want to play with the big boys, it will have to be better.

And I always thought DP stood for "Director of Photography."

I feel like such an idiot.

Reading some of the posts on this matter.... I have just one word:

Hypocrisy ?

(There, I said it. Read it and weep mister !!)

I guess I am a bit confused. A few months back we announced that we are shooting everything with the Red camera. Someone on the Red user board posted our announcement. People wanted to see footage and asked if I would post something when it was ready so I said I would do that. I felt that everyone on the Red User board where artists and filmmakers so content would not be in question. I did not mean to offend anyone and I am not here to push our movies. I have always looked at the boards here as a place people can collaborate and learn from one another.

Just a little background about my company. We don't look at our selves as a porn company but more as an entertainment company. We make movies that are released not just in XXX version but we also edit it down and get an official MPAA R-rating as well for some of them. For example I just release my latest movie Pirates 2 ( http://www.piratesthemovie.com clean version on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6iZBi3Qneg ) this is a multi million dollar production. The script is 102 pages long and the movie with no sex or nudity is 92 minutes long. We have over 600 visual FX shots in the movie. We released the XXX version Sept 27th and by Feb of next year you will see it not just in Blockbusters but also as a limited theatrical release in the R-Rated format. We did this before with the first Pirates and it was very successful.

At the end of the day why do we love shooting on the Red Camera? Because the images are clean and amazing. And we want our customers that buy our movies on Blu-ray to get their money's worth.

maybe they lit it high key to have a deep stop and avoid having the focus puller pulling something other than focus...but all joking aside.....

censorship is censorship across the board...

what happens when someone posts that first IED attack that is shot on RED ONE or an execution or something else that might just simply be newsworthy yet extremely graphic? On the news networks they always say "what you are about to see is highly graphic in nature and might be disturbing to some". that means don't watch.... I don't mean to advocate any type of exploitation (Jesse Jane does seem willing, I must admit), but come on, this is the world we live in.....filled with fear and hate, but luckily also love and caring.

not sure if this turned into a short aimless rant, but just my thoughts.

Peace,
Eric

The DOF wasn't very shallow, which surprised me. Did they just flood everything with a gajillion watts of light so they could stop down do you think?

I liked the fiery horse at the end best.

OK, I don't like censorship... And I kinda like Pawel's solution.

So, to go see the porn shot on RED, here we go:

www dot digitalplayground dot com /mov/jesseheatbd.html

Now people have to make a conscious effort to type it it. The link will warn you again, but it is a hard core XXX site with matching content in the trailer. If anyone is still offended, then I suggest they go find something more appropriate for their sensitivities and not bitch about it here.

Jeff, I think you did a good job. You had a tough decision to make. I do think that there should be spaces in the link so that it's not so easy to visit the site by accident. For those of you that view REDUSER only in an adult environment where no kids are or will be, then it probably doesn't matter. For me personally, my 2 year old has climbed onto my office chair many times and started clicking all kinds of things. It's amazing what a little kid can click on in a matter of moments, purely by coincidence. I'm glad that there is some censorship on the forums because people aren't always as good about posting warnings and for those of us that choose not to view such material, it is a great thing that the Mods keep it to a minimum.

Joone, I agree with the censorship issues brought up here, however the reality is the entertainment company produces pornographic material then cut for a wider audience. I mean it's not like Pirates of the Caribbean was for general wide release then some full on hardcore sex scenes with Keira and Johnny added later for a more select audience.

and beavers may be next - but I don't find that subject any less interesting or less important or less worthy of consideration here.

Good point.

Personally, I hate porn on DV.

One of the first things I happened to shoot on RED was some scantily clad girls and I thought... this is going to be a great camera for erotic stuff. RED has no sharpening so it is very friendly to skin tones. Sure there's 4K of resolution and that can be scary... but that's no different than anything else we shoot.

They used to shoot this stuff on 35mm back in the day. Back when they shot it like a real movie and it looked relatively pleasing. So to say RED shouldn't be used for this is totally wrong IMHO. You'd rather have this stuff on shaky dv cams? I'd rather have it look like a feature movie. In fact, I think high quality erotica is probably a genre that has an opportunity because it doesn't exist really.

I saw a movie once called Dixie Ray, Hollywood Star. It was film noire porn shot on 35mm and even had a couple name stars as characters. Not too many of those movies out there...

Hi Joone,

One thing I'm sure you have learned by now, especially with the adult entertainment industry, is that there are always people who are easily offended. As you can tell from reading through this thread, a lot of people are genuinely interested. On the other end of the spectrum, some are offended just at the idea that there is a link to explicit sexual material. We see this type of reaction from other facets of the industry as well. I have had to completely shut down and rebuild multiple discussions involving military topics. An example of which was some very inspiring footage of a fighter jet. Within the first 5 posts, the discussion had degenerated to a heated anti-war, anti-USA debate, with people wanting the footage links removed because it was a clip of a "killing machine".

We have members here coming from all over the world with a multitude of moral, social and religious ideals. This forum is very diverse and it's amazing that everyone gets along so well. But with that comes a variable range of ideas on what is appropriate. You, your fans and others familiar with the industry will consider it "adult entertainment", but to others it can still be "pornography" depending on their perspective.

I personally think you guys have a good thing going with your productions and releasing different versions. There really is no one else doing this.

I saw that you posted the link in another thread on these forums. I'm not going to point it out or remove it at this time, as it fits in with that discussion topic. I want to believe that everyone here is mature enough to know weather or not they should follow that link. Apparently some people are not capable of self-restraint or control and yet they are overly sensitive.

I'm actually surprised this is the first Red shot adult film I'm hearing about. Normally film/video technology goes through government and porn before the general public accepts it. Jeff, what else do you know of that has shot on Red? How long ago?

For the record, I helped iron out some post issues for an "adult feature" back in Janurary / February. To my knowledge, this was the first porn or non-amateur adult film shot on RED. It was shot on Build 12, I think with a "pre-X" camera. I won't say anymore than that... If those more directly involved want to step forward, they can do so. I'm sure they have read this thread by now.
