I just got off month long feature running 6.2.44 on magnesium weapon. I tried to upgrade to the latest release build today and the camera seems to go through the process but when I check it's still on the same version. I even tried an earlier release build and the same thing happens. Any ideas?

still not working, anyone? about to contact Red...

Yes, I'm doing it the proper way, longtime reduser here

The force upgrade folder is nested one level deeper than it used to be for Epic. Stumped me for a bit the first time I went to upgrade the way I was used to. It doesn't do the high speed fan in that case though. It just ignores what's on the card and boots normally to the build that is in the camera.

What do you mean, I put the folder (drag and drop) onto the card, not within something else

Just saying it needs to be the folder that says "force upgrade". Previous Weapon downloads I have opened had "Weapon build xxx" folder and inside that was ANOTHER folder that said "Weapon build xxxx" and inside THAT was the "force upgrade" folder. This was one nested layer deeper than I had ever experienced with an Epic upgrade, and having upgraded my Epics dozens of times I tossed the first nested folder onto the card and it was just ignored cause it wasn't the "force upgrade" folder by itself. But as I mentioned when I did this the camera just boots normally with the firmware already installed and ignores what is on the card. I see this build for the CF Weapon downloaded with the "force upgrade" folder one layer in. But a number of previous Weapon builds were not like this and added another (unnecessary it seems) folder to dig into. Mentioning it cause it tripped me up once.

FWIW, in the past I've had to make a couple of tries or more before getting it to work. But never has it gone through the high fan rate and not upgraded. The only possible thing I can think of on your end is you unmount the mag from the reader before completing the force upgrade folder data from computer to mini-mag.

Before unmounting, check to see the file size on the mini mag before unmounting from the computer.

I think it is something like 19 MB on the Carbon Fiber Weapon. Just did a RAVEN upgrade also and it was somewhere around 14 MBs, I think.
