  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

:-) not a problem. Im surprised im still up being 1:54am here in the UK, but im trying to write my feature film atm, but ive found myself on here a lot recently for some reason and not writing ;-)

Hi Brent,

I was told by Red Uk that I could do the stage-3 order with them, even though my camera originally came from the US. I just transfered all funds from my US account to UK account. Can I still fill in the reservation online or should I wait to speak to someone at the UK offices on monday?

Since no hurry to reserve (since we ship by RED ONE delivery date), you can wait until Mon if you want to ask Alan at RED EUROPE. Pretty sure you can do it with them even if you do reserve through RED.com

Nikon mount

Hi!

I always use my RedOne 70% with Nikon glass.
Stage 3 Exchange program with out Nikon mount means that I can not do my job with my Nikon's.

So,I hope having my EPIC with Nikon mount it would come.
And I would like to know actual delivery time of Nikon mount and estimate price.

I'm still looking into stage 4... I've ordered a Scarlet but have a very strong "inner conflict" concerning this. I hope stage 4 opens soon for the non Red One owners. If its still 2011 prices, I might still go Epic. The added features of the epic and its upgrade path are just too significant. Significant enough to justify the extra 20 000 usd for a ready to shoot package from my 14k Scarlet package...

Again, I know it's very early days with this program- and it is one heckuve a great deal. BUT...

It'd be very helpful to know what the turnaround time is, approximately, once you send in your R1.

I'm sure you guys have talked about this, right? 'Cause many of us make our livings with our R1s. It'd be disastrous to do this upgrade, generous as it is, and end up camera-less for more than a short, short period of time. Especially reading in other threads that things like the side handle, mounts, etc., may be in backorder until February.

Really hoping for some guidance or reassurance, here. And "don't worry about it, RED will take care of you" isn't enough, despite RED's awesomeness. :-) I know what you guys are doing is amazing and generous- but I'm running a business here, too, that kinda needs a camera.

Is the warranty transferable with the camera on its sale to a third party?
