I hope that the trade-in process is a fast one. Like, a week to make sure the R1 works fine and passes QA, then the Epic-X shows up with all accessories on our doors or at RED Studios. Reason being, our R1-MX works a lot

It's good news, but bittersweet. It was sad to hear that there is no option in Stage 3.5 to hold onto the Red One.

It really will be sad to pack it up when the day comes.

Peter, im a stage 3 and I agree with you. I feel like a traitor giving up my red, but the deal is too good to not take, a camera that will get us a few more years of being top of the line. Bittersweet. I hoped red would reconsider, it seems like so much work for them to do QA, and so many possible delay points.

If somebody is willing to sell his stage 3 kit, does he need to receive the camera first and then sell it. Or is it possible that Red sends it directly to the new owner? I think it was said before that this is possible, i just want to clear it up. Would the original warranty still be voided in such an case?
