  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-X begins...

A historic photo. Family portrait - Red One #378 (first Red in Japan, EVER) and Epic-X #135 (first Epic-X in Japan). Proud and humbled to have been the pioneer and father of both! :D

Hehe! Love this photo Greg! Congrats from Japan!

Cheers,

Hey Andrew,

Not to spin this off topic... but..

Was that a rail jam you were shooting? Any chance you'll be uploading footage of that onto Vimeo?

It was a snowboarding comp that was held up at Bear Mtn. I shot the same comp a couple years ago on my RED One, so I thought it would be a good idea to bring Epic up there. But yes I will be posting what I got up there in the footage section. Epic worked great out there and having the ability to shut down and power back up in less than 10 seconds saved power. I was out there all day and only went through one and a half RED bricks.

I think I'm going to name her after the TARDIS: "Sexy"! :D Bigger on the inside than the outside!

Cheers from Tokyo!

For all the Red "not-yet" owners, I applaud the enthusiasm and hope for the day, when we too can be sending in my new baby photos with cigar...

OK, no more whining here. My camera just showed up!
EPIC-X #192 available starting today!
Cheers,
Harry

...on an undercover cop!

Nice setup!

Do you think it can fully support the original Red one EVF?

Jean, The Wooden Camera evf mount is not on these photos with my Epic.(as i've not received the bomb evf yet)
But yes, it is strong enough for R1 evf.

Antoine

Guys, give us already first shooting tests of Epic-X!
I just can't believe what is small this baby!
How do you think is it possible to shoot even weddings for Epic-X?

Do I remember right that the EPIC-X brain is 36,500$ after january 1st? So if bought next year, one would only save 3,000$ compared to EPIC-M.
