I been noticing a green banding in Epic-W towards the skin tone.

I have tried all 3 DSMC2 OLPF with the same outcome.
I know that the HELIUM Color Science is not out yet but take a look at this, Do I have a bad sensor? I include the R3D files in the last link.

Shot on ISO 800, Canon 50 Cine lens. RG4 DC2

Very, very, very well known CA from the Canon 50mm T1.3. Stop that lens down to T4-T5 and you'll see that go away for this specific lighting scenario and contrast ratio.

Thank your for the reply Phil, But I brought down the image to show more of the problem. is this a Chromatic Aberration?
you coud see it clearly how it lines up between the whites and green.

And this is using RGW/L3G10 with basic S-Curve and Saturation

Björn

I suggested on FB group for him to try REDWideGamutRGB/Log3G10 but its still showing up.

It also shows in a weird way, usually when I see CA it blends smoothly with no sharp edges.

Yep. This is a weird one. I've looked at the R3D and haven't seen anything like that before. I'd open up a support ticket from here. Might be fixable via firmware, might not.

Thanks Phil for your time. I forward the R3D file to RED support, waiting to hear back from them.

Alvin, maybe send some other r3d files like you originally sent me too

So two issues: CA from the lens visible around the edges of the face. That is typical with a wide-open lens. The green jagged pattern is not normal and Red Support need to see this. Please make sure a support ticket is filed and mention that I've seen the R3D.

Same problem here!

I have a RED Scarlet-W and today I've noticed about this problem. Almost all the footage I shoot today is unusable. Also, I've been checking all my latest footage and I found this problem in a more subtle way in other scenes.
I'm using XEEN lenses.
