  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC/Scarlet Build 3.3.14

+1, please update power management. I am respectfully being the loudest squeaky wheel I can be! Please? and if it's not going to happen, just tell us. :-)

Is the new Canon 24-70 L II supported in the 'AF Enhancements'?
 
I hate asking (what with the 'Give 'em an inch' undertones) BUT....

Any chance we'll ever see 24/25fps at 4.5k WS on Scarlet? It's only 4480x1920, right? Should it not be doable since it's less pixels per frame than 4096x2160?

Also, any ETA on the retail/production build of these 3.3.x enhancements? I know these beta builds are pretty solid, but I'd feel much more comfortable when they're out of "beta".

Is it possible to assign a button to a "Rehearsal mode" wich would trigger the fanspeed to the recording speed?

So that the sound crew could listen to the rehearsal without having the Standby fan speed? And that we don't have to record on camera to have a clean sound?

Patrick that is a great idea. I just worked on a project with some well known actors who needed the Epic turned off during rehearsal just so they could concentrate. Temporarily adjusting the fan settings was not a practical solution. Being unable to frame up during some rehearsals was very challenging.

Should be possible via presets. You might have to create a dumb-preset if you want to have a button which switches between two presets. You could even do some more presets and then cycle through them. Needs a bit of work, but should be doable.
 
Any estimate on release build release? :)

The last release build is feeling more and more behind.

great update, but my camera/monitor still freezes(can still move around the menus but changing settings does not take effect) when I try to enter playback mode when operatig with V-mount batteries. Also would love a feature where you can move around the image while in magnify mode, which even my DSLR can do by the way.​
