  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC... ready.

Congrats Red.

I hope to be able to see a video of Epic #1 on the production line get put together on video, that would be an amazing journey to watch.

The Hobbit in 3D?

It's pretty obvious isn't it.

Not sure if Jim or anyone from RED can chime in on this...

Is there going to be a lag on getting any of the other things necessary to have EPIC up and running from the date it ships? In other words, are modules, SSD's, new batt's, etc. also on the same schedule as the bodies and also near completion? It'd be a shame to not come out of the gates with a truly fully working system, but I understand it's a lot to worry about.

Just curious. Thanks.

Kevin

Massive congratulations on a historic day :cheers2::sifone:

Awesome news!
Congratulations to the RED army!

The RED Army are one hell of the team - that's for sure. I'd had great pleasure to work with most of them.

Thanks to everyone at Red who have been making sacrifices in their own lives to get Epic done - I'm sure we can't fully appreciate the level of effort that has been required. I know we all WILL appreciate pressing that record button, so thank you for making that possible!

Best,
Tim

Truly awesome news.

A huge Thank You to everyone who put in the overtime to get this done.

The clouds parted. The sun came out. Children laughed. Flowers bloomed. Music played. The great multitude shouted their approval to the heavens. Thanks to all of you. This has been completed when it needed to happen. Despite what has been said about "not on time". No one can foresee the full significance of this, but I do know some people don't know what is about to hit them.

Well, that figures... I'd actually be working when this announcement gets made.

What really sucks is I've been up nearly 48 hours straight and now I don't think I can sleep. I'm ready pick my accessories and send in my money, dammit! :)

Congrats, RED TEAM!

Can't wait...

Wooohoooo! Well done Red and all of the team. Congratulations

Congrats to the RED Team!

Any idea when Stage 3 will start? I missed Stage 2 :mad2:

But I would like to pay the deposit for Stage 3 right now...

Everything that is required to to use the EPIC will be shipping with the camera. Some of the modules and other accessories will follow behind.
