  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-M Delivery Timelines

I don't think there is any question that there will be more EPICs out there than either one inside 2 months. By the end of the year there will be more EPICs in the wild than both combined times 3.

More Alexas and fewer F35's around here...

That COULD be due to the fact that ther's isn't one F35 actually sold in Norway, though some have been visiting...

But I expect that ratio to change rapidly over the next few months...

Let's see... Sony has more employees than the Japanese Army. Arri has been in business since Caesar was Emperor. And we have no idea what we are doing... making stuff in the USA for crying out loud. We are the considerable underdogs. No question about it. The chances of us lasting more than a few more months is slim...

Well, I have to say, "lasting more than a few months" is an exponential improvement over the "SCAM WARNING" email I got 5-6 years ago about this rip-off outfit claiming to sell "impossible cameras" for a $1000 deposit. ;)

At that rate of improvement, you should be running the planet by Labor Day.

On a related note ... that email is the example I give now about how no publicity is bad publicity.

I thought that was the critics opinion and the odds have been improving considerably in Red's favour? Withstanding an economic tsunami and the real tsunami in Japan during the initial few years of a start-up challenger/dreamer's operation is no joke.

I guess looking at what "the others" bring at you, it's neat to look at the big picture and see how potent an exceptional leader with great support (as what RED has at its disposal) can be.

With the sincerest attitude, I admire you guys and am blessed to be able to call you "friend".

I'm pretty sure the competition doesn't quite see it that way, but we all like the story of David vs. Goliath ;-)

When I got the "magic" email from RED I paid the same day and had my EPIC delivered with 3 days to Australia!! Someone is working hard at RED!!!
 
Guess if Japan goes to war they'll be looking at Sony for backup...given by then I'm sure we'll end up with bots and all coming out of Sony just to save their numbers LOL

Love it though, you guys will no doubt last years if not longer...

Only because I want a 28K cam in hand sometime before 2014 (we'll live through 2012 so no need for a 28K doomsday cam) :P

We promised after the WWII, that we would never have military. Our army is the defensive army and never go to war :).
